The Irish part according to hozier at a live concert: Although you are light and bright, You come to me like nightfall(/like night), You and I mixed up together metamorphosised, it's a dark art, the art of shape-shifting

Go raibh maith agat hozier for bringing back my love for irish. Its so highly romanticised by non-irish yet its poorly taught in our school systems and makes us students hate our language. This has brought back the spark, Powerful schtuff.
@wow89229 ай бұрын
@@tubotuba2051 There are parts of ireland that are definitely beautiful, that's why they attain so many tourists or 'lovers of ireland' but living here is a totally different situation. Our education system teaches our language backwards, thats why I personally don't find it a gift to ireland when people come over here and romanticise our language as if we are taught it correctly and as if its a huge part of our culture that we love and speak, which in minute parts of ireland it is (probably the parts non irish people tend to visit) but realisticly it is dying everywhere else as the common way it is taught gains it dislike amongst majority of students, myself included. It's a problem. however I wanted my initial comment to be positive as hozier incorporating it into his music will hopefully add at least a little positive light to the language to irish people who listen as it did for me.
