Ok, your saying if it goes to sleep it wont show a screen ir come out of that mode?, you have to switch off and restart, try going into display settings and turn off all sleep settings , put screen saver on only, see if it keeps working, may have a software problem or corrupt ios, try a windows refesh or update Thks Dave

@@SuperDavidcass I'l try that Dave thanks but my problem is is that when I turn it on the screen is blank, after refowing the solder as you did I can get the computer working perfectly but only by doing a hard restart every time I turn it on.

Possible one power rail is out, more likely the main CPU, try a reflow Thks Dave

Is glass on front of the actual lcd screen, you can replace the screen Thks dave

I'll check on the ones we have, some have a front glass, some don't, if its glass yes can replace it Thks Dave

@@petertrainer5508 depends on distance from chip, approx 350 degrees, 3 inches away, wide nozzle, air flow around 100, a good guide is when you see the flux bubble out the sides then do dry, we also have a reflow machine we used to use it heats bottom of the board same time , we used it to reball the gpu on the xbox's , Ps it was i think my first video i didt have my microscope camera set up then. It better to underflow than go too hot, you can always do it again for longer if it didnt work.

@@SuperDavidcass Thank you. I have tried all the other fixes after watching your video except trying to reflow the solder. I've never tried it before so wish me luck lol. My initial problem was that the screen would work sometimes but not other times. I've tried restarts etc but now clasping at straws lol. Cheers

Its water like liquid flux, being water like it flushes under the bga balls easy and goes right through

if yours is no screen you can use a hot air gun at 350 degrees for about 15 to 20 seconds hold approx 4 inches away from the chip, use foil around the chip , you need to pump liquid flux under the side of the ship untill it flows out the other side

Has yours a separate card, try ram swap first

Idd reflow the chip as we did above video, its very common for no display Thks dave

It will be cpu graphics bga issues if you are getting lines Thks dave

@@osama5444 Nope did some more test and I come to the conclusion the port works, though I need to get a none wirekess keyboard for it to send a proper signal, a cabal keyboard would be in direct contact with no delay... though when I get more money I'm taking it up to Micro Center to get their expertise on the matter. I don't want to damage it anymore then what I've already have. In other news I took almost all of it apart and put it back together for a good clean and for test if some components was damaged or not all seemed to work well and booted up but without a HDMI port I have no direct feed besides them belt in touchscreen. I also need to find the backed-up files to it so I'll have a clean boot, I've had some memory problems prier to the swip and I think the files it tried to unpack may have been too much, and I was not about to wait 24 hours for a startup boot. On a new computer with hefty specks, Sure, but a old model that fast boots almost each time? I say no thank you. lol At least I had a back up LT.

Its a surface mount flux, because its water like its able to flow right under the chip when it squirts out the other side you know its right, we used it on gpu chips in consoles , pcs, nvidia chips on laptops etc

@@RobWillmot yes most bga chips suffer from dry joints from heat, we've done a lot of consoles lg tvs laptops over the years. Anything that has a heat zinc on it basicly. The ps4 blue light of death is a good example, we used to pull of the xbox 360 gpu and reball them Thks dave Ps ive now got my new camera set up so will do more detailed in the future.

@@RobWillmot no Artic silver is only used to get a good bond between the heat zinc and gpu , the only way to fix joints is to reflow using the water like liquid flux and heat the balls up, we also have a rework jig , it heats the bottom and top of the board same time , ill post a video of it, for the home tech you can insulate aroung the chip with heat proof tape, and use a hot air gun at 400 degrees about 4 inches min away and keep it moving for approx 15 secs
