Great fly past, yes 30 mph is a bit slow, but it didn't take long to obliterate the old road in the way of HS2.....

Hmm ... reminds me of my old Scalextric track. You'd want to squeeze the trigger along there. Escort Mexico probably or six-wheeled Tyrrell. Of course Harvil Road had already been realigned to make way for this final realignment. It should go into the Guinness Book of Records for most realignments of a road over 30 months. The original plan had Harvil Road crossing the Chiltern Line over the existing bridge with just a minor realignment to take it over HS2, which was going to run in a simple cutting. At some point they decided that this was far too cheap an option and plumped for the 'green' Copthall tunnel, a new bridge over the Chiltern Line and a mile of brand new tarmac. So, at a guesstimate, this Harvil Road/HS2 intersection has cost ten times more than what the original plan would have done. And the people of Leeds and Manchester wonder why the HS railway is never going to reach them. Keep 'em coming, dear x

Great video - I love the colours from the low sun angle. It also gives an idea of how well this will blend in all along the line when finished.

Another great video as usual! I remember the first one I watched from you where they had put the first piece of tunnel support structure in with the diagonal road section on top. The road realignment seems to have moved quite quickly and the view from above shows a very impressive (nearly) finished look.
