Momota has better stamina, consistency, and all around play. Ginting has better offense (smash, attack, etc) and when he excels or has tempo, almost unbeatable. But the thing is, he can't keep up with his playstyle (non stop jump smash and offense, almost like a doubles player). And he also makes too many errors at times.

He needs to play more patiently against momota to save enough energy for the rubber set, it's almost impossible to beat momota in 2 straight games right now when momota is serious with his title's goal

Agree, he was leading the 3rd set by quite a bit but then started making silly unforced errors.

I think Ginting is probably the only player who has a chance against Momota in the 2020 Olympics but only if he can finish the match in 2 sets. In the 3rd set Momota was in total control in the second half and Ginting is just too tired by then.

Both such great players - different ways of playing the game, yet so equal in their ability to produce, but Momota has that ability to maintain his stamina right till the very end or pusb that little bit harder when the pressure is on to close the match in his favour, thats why he is at the top

Always felt like Ginting's only chance to win is to win it straight game. Momota's endurance & patient game in a tireful 3rd set circumstance is just too much to ask for anybody i suppose.

@@judyclarkson5887 yes he has extreme stamina and patience that very few players can sustain, even Chou TC and Chen Long tend to waiver in the latter stages, and his style of play brings errors down to a very low level throughout - Gingting needs to find a way to win early (like how he beat Momota in 2 straights) or find a way to push right till the end

@@ashimr01 i will be very surprised if one day Ginting can win in a 3 sets match against momota. Not that I won't welcome it in the first place. As that will mean that his game (in this regards his stamina) will have been improved by the time that comes.

Sometimes it is painful to support ginting. But sometimes it is what is meant to be a supporter, to ride with either highs & lows of your favorite players. I believe the time will come, where ginting will reign and rightly crowned as a champ. Next season wouldn't be too bad to claim it, Ginting lad. Some drills to enhance stamina apparently is needed badly to anticipate the 3 game setter against momota. Such a tough, tough player to face. Well played from him.

It’s not just stamina. I don’t think stamina is that big issue. It’s mental toughness. That’s what separates Momota from him. Momota is mentally tougher than Ginting. It was the same with LD and LCW. He was leading Momota by 7 points in the 3rd set. Lapse of concentration and mental breakdown cost him down the stretch.

To many people blamed ginting due to his stamina they seems blind that ginting played several match right before to the finals by 3games lol The only ginting weakness is less focus/lost concentration too easy apapun alesannya ok netizen yg maha pinter...

Tbh, both of them are really tired. It just that Ginting made it soo obvious especially at the third set. Meanwhile Momota kept it cool, and keep getting a winning shots. Champions not only work hard, but they seem to still doing their best despite being tired and in stressfull situation.

stamina is indeed the issue, i know he was playing rubber games before the finals, but that’s the format. if you burntout by reaching final and lost it, then it is your stamina issue. notice how he lift on the 3rd game, he can’t get back as fast as he was on the 1st and 2nd game. but the mental part is one of his biggest obstacles, losing focus, etc, i’ll have to agree with that. it’s just my opinion, have always supported ginting above any MS player, hope 2020 is going to be great for him

Ginting only play one rubber game against CTC in this tournament. He beat CL in straight sets both time and he benefited of playing less than half a set against Axelsen who retired. Momota also played a rubber game. In reality, prior to the final, Momota's playing time on court was more than Ginting. So my opinion that Ginting's stamina is not an issue.

Punca kekalahan ginting bukanlah sebab kekurangan stamina tetapi mental serta focus yg agak kurang. Kalau mahu bilang stamina kalah mana boleh sebab latihan badminton selalunya banyak melibatkan stamina. Jika Ginting boleh tetap focus dan tidak mudah goyang pasti boleh dia mengalahkan Momota

Kami di Indonesia tahu stamina Ginting tak sebagus Momota. Padahal Ginting punya pukulan smash, netting, drop shot lebih bagus dari pada Momota. Momora kuat di pertahanan (defense) dan stamina. Pabila Ginting main 2 set seperti Asian Games 2018 dan China Open 2018 menang 2 set langsung lawan Momota. Bila sudah rubber set, kami tahu pasti susah bagi Ginting mengalahkan Momota. Stamina Ginting sudah berkurang. Ginting harus fokus bermain dan juga perbaiki stamina
