Devolution Ryoma looks like a escapee from a boy band.. Right until you see those eyes, there's a madness there that you can't possibly imagine. And it's there in Armageddon's Ryoma as well.

@@ultramangeed624 In a nutshell, yes. Also, got to say that if Naoya Uchida ever feels like giving up the role, they found a good potential replacement in Yoshimasa Hosoya. Which would be, in case it's not blatantly obvious, the person who voiced Devolution Hayato in SRW-30.

Generally if you look at the artwork, their eyes in general basically tell you their personalities. Ryoma looks straight ahead - the offensive powerhouse that has his goal in his mind and nothing else. Because there is no point for thinking ahead when there is an enemy in front of you. Hayato, the strategist, who has to see beyond the immediate moment to make long term plans, is looking ahead. Because when you dont know how to proceed from step to step, your speed wont matter. Musashi/Benkei, the defensive pilot, is keeping an eye on both Ryoma and Hayato. Because if anyone has too look out for the other crazy bastards on the team, its him.

I'd watch that in a heartbeat. And I'm not really the biggest fan of most of the Getter shows I've seen parts of (they aren't bad, they just haven't hit right for me for some reason). This, though... this has the potential to break through based on what I know of it.

@@ssss.wappled2418 well in this manga they share something from the original one but in the end it made me feel like this is nothing but some edgy boys that always do nothing just crying "Oh no! Emperor is bad! We have to destroy it because we really don't know any fucking thing about it anyway" Or "we are real world the outer getter are simulation so fuck them and eat my getter beam you damn emperor!!" In my point of view i believe that getter robo is not just any robot manga/anime it is a cosmic horror manga/anime y'know

@@taro-san2281 But that's not really what happened, to be precise. The "Getter Emperor" that appears in Devolution was actually the Getter Will disguised as the Emperor, and the Getter that the protagonists are piloting is the true Emperor in a devolved form which they managed to manifest in the real world by overloading the simulation. The Manga just does a lousy job of explaining it.
