Welcome to the October 2023 Hua Hin Thailand train line construction drone flight video update.
Hello again from Cape Girardeau in America. My work on the electric Porsche 914 upgrades is going well, and another month has quickly passed so it's time for another Hua Hin drone flight!
As we're getting so close to the grand opening of the new line and station, Geoff decided to make a comprehensive flight from Soi 2 all the way to the reservoir in Khao Tao. He also tried a new technique that lets him fly at a lower altitude on some of the clips, see if you like the improved visuals.
The station building looks nearly complete, with final landscaping and parking lot work finishing up. The overpasses in Khao Tao are at the paving stage, signaling that they're also getting close to becoming operational.

Well things are really starting to improve. You can notice the difference around the station and the car park. Have they given a completion date for the grand ceremony opening? We appreciate here in the UK you doing this so thanks very much look forward to the grand opening DSM in uk 🇬🇧 ☺️

Heaven is Hua Hin has been asking and nobody wants to give an interview or commit to a date. Very frustrating!

ive heard from richard barrow that from december 15th the train from bkk to hua hin will take 3 hours 07.30 -10.30am due to opening of dual tracks. i didnt hear about the return trip though.though you would still need to get to the train station in bangkok so that will add some time on.

@@MikesTropicalTech I may try it out on 9th January when I come down to hua hin though it's very early in the morning And gf doesn't like getting up so early.we usually take bus From Suvarnabhumi which takes 4 Hours

Hi one, other important question the train from Bangkok to HUA HIN when the line is completed, how long will it take? How long does it take now ? Also, is it double track all the way there and back ?

Nobody really knows, but I'm expecting only a slight improvement from today's 4 hour trip. It will avoid the stop-and-go-backwards I've encountered a few times, and the new Krung Thep main station in northwest Bangkok cut nearly an hour off the trip to the old Hua Lamphong station. The plan is for double-track on all lines through Thailand, with the work is starting in Bangkok and expanding north and south.

last spring when I traveled home from Hua Hin, the train was 35 minutes late to Hua Hin train station. we arrived at bangkok new Krung Thep Aphiwat Central 10 minutes early!
