I currently have an apple watch series 3 and it works great. BUT it's going on 3 years now and the battery life really sucks with only minimal use. Seriously considering the GT2 or GT2e from Huawei. Thanks for a great video. Subscriber

I am currently rocking the GT2 watch and it's great, battery lasts for about 10 days, it tracks sleep and heart rate very well, I personally am very pleased with it.

Hi. First video of yours I've seen. Nice work. Keep it up :) I had an LG watch r. I loved it. But I see that it was quite limited in what it could do, compared to newer smart watches. The battery used to be good as I could get a day and a half out of it between charges. But a couple of months ago it died. It will power up when on charge. But switches off as soon as you take it off. I'm on a tight budget but have been looking around. And this seems the best value for money. Thank you for the vid.

Nice video. I have several questions. 1. Does the sleep and activity data properly sync to Google Fit? (I saw some people complaining) 2. How is the notification system? Does the screen light up when we get a notification? If it does, does the screen become touch sensitive or is it only the light to show the notification? I'm concerned, because my AmazFit Bip enabled the screen when I get a notification and it does accidental touches.

Hi Troy! I am planning to buy a smartwatch and I am confused between this VS Gen5 VS Active 2. I love GT2's looks and aesthetics and fitness feature the best and this is finally a smartwatch which has an acceptable battery life but I don't want to miss out on google assistant. Does GT2 have an voice assistant? Also, can I fire music/spotify from the watch to stream music? (stream on phone but fire from the watch?)

I ordered a GT2 because.. Black Friday. I knew about the awesome battery life and this was the best thing and the only reason I would replace my S3 frontier. Only after making the order I've seen the videos and discovered that you can't reply text from it.. or voice input.. it doesn't even display emojis? This basic stuff? I'm seriously thinking about should I keep it or return it.

How do i change the watch faces on the Huawei health app? Also I noticed this watch doesn't work with wear OS app, keeps trying to connect forever. Is it mine that has a factory default or that's just how the watch roles? Note here that I was using a Huawei watch 2 before I got this one and truly am not impressed. Please reply. Looking to upgrade from Fitbit ionic, which I'm disappointed, after a year the battery die, that the watch wouldn't charge up ! I think its a marketing ploy by Fitbit company, in having their customer upgrade to their new Fitbit Versa 2, which I decide not to, and look for a better option. which Huawei GT2 is offering me batter smart watch than my old Fitbit watch

If you have xiaomi device stay on startos if you have huawei or honor then then gt2 if you have other brands then tbh it’s up 2 you both have it own cons and pros

After using Wear OS and Galaxy Watchs, i have noticied that i only use it to read the time and notifications. I never answer text messages on the watch just because it's not practical, and even, when walking, it's just impossible to type on the watch keyboard. So the Watch GT is just perfect, good looking, impressive battery life. Just sad that there is no way to pay with it. It's just a bit overpriced, at 150€ instead of 229€, it would be the right price.

My 1st Smart watch. So why did I pick this one? Battery life! I've had the GT2 for 4 days now. The watch had 75% charge when I got it. After 4 days without a charge it's on 37%. After using it for 3x 1hr training sessions, so it looks like the claims of 14 or 7 days with heavy use battery life will be correct. As long as I get a week I'll be happy. Which is the main reason for me buying the GT2. I really wanted the Samsung watch. I love it's style, but having to charge it every 2 days as seems the case with all smart watches. That was the game changer. GT2 is a good compromise regarding looks as I hate the square style smart watch. The only downside so far, are the 2 choices of always on watch faces are not to my liking. It's a pity they couldn't do a simple no frills version of the face they call shadows (the one in all the advertising) But that's just me.

Great video. It just decided on the GT2 over the Honor Magic 2 and you now have thrown a spanner in the works between the silver model with brown and black straps versus the all black sports version :) The question is which looks better as a sports watch? @@WhatGear Not bad, not great, maybe 5 days between charges. I've just seen 35 are being given away tomorrow in London at London Victoria Docks if you're brave enough to take a dunk in the water. Gutted, I'd have gone up tomorrow to try to get one if I didn't have the kids for the day. The truly most annoying part of the GT1 is that it is only really a glorified fitness tracker. But sadly there just aren't any amazing android smart watches.

Buying the GT2 to use with an iPhone is the equivalent of using your own hands to pull out your eyes. I mean the long battery life is a cool feature but a lot of basic functions will not work on iOS therefore the watch will be automatically downgraded from a smartwatch to a fitness tracker. However it should be fine on Android.

Hello. Great review, great watch, but there is one important thing to consider before buying, that is not mentioned in this review: For me the most important things on a Smartwatch are tracking sports and showing messages. BUT: the GT2 (and GT1) is not able to do both at the same time. So when you have started a workout, you do not get informed of new messages. The Watch will receive the sms & WhatsApp’s, emails, but you will not notice. During workout there is no alert, no vibration and you can not switch to the messages-screen until You stop the workout. Some workouts do not require getting messages, but if you are in a gym for several hours or you are just going for a walk and track ist, i think the alerts during workouts are very important. I can not understand, why Huawei did not implement it. Forme this is a no go and I returned the watch, that I normally would like the most. What do You think? Does it matter for You?
