I bought the watch. Thank you. I have a Sound problem. The sound settings. When I go into a meeting, I put my phone into vibration mode. No sounds. The problem is that if a call comes in it rings very loudly on the smartwatch. Weakening and amplifying is a problem every time, because I want to hear beep messages. . Why can't the phone control the sound?

Hi, did you change something in the settings for the GPS? Your pace during the run seems to refresh almost instantly, while in mine it's totally inaccurate, and even if I stop I need to wait like 10 seconds before he shows "--:--".

You can do it directly from the health app on your phone. Go to your device, there you will see faces, select a face, you like, and select install. (There are plenty of free faces, and pay ones too.) the face you installed will be remembered on the watch and displayed immediately. You can delete them too from the app and they will disappear from the phone, but the app will always remember those you loaded as 'yours'

Your phone weather app at fault. That is where your watch gets it's weather report from.

My watch gt2 stopped recieving WhatsApp call notification anymore. I used too get my WhatsApp call directly to my watch gt2. Now suddenly stopped working. However I tried connecting to iPhone it works fine. Only it's not working if I connected to any Android phone. I did all reset options, both on phone and Watch GT2 ..Any idea? How to fix.

Check again the settings in Health app, if all the notifications are allowed. Then check the notifications settings for each app (i.e. could be that those apps are muted in Android). If that doesnt work, try to re-pair the watch again - unpair/pair.

Yes, absolutely. I shower with it. After water exposure it's a bit muffled, until water gets out.

I have this watch for two months and all I can say is that this watch has very bad heart rate monitor.. During a workout shows to low values or even stops measuring during pushups... Not really a fitness watch...

Hello. I have a question. I have Onplus 7 Pro also and a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. But i have problems since upgrade of soft of Oneplus, is disconnecting many times. Do you think is better Huawei GT 2 compairing to Frontier ? and also, if i buy Huawei GT 2 i will have problem with connection with my Oneplus 7 Pro ?. Thank you for your answer

They are different. GT2 is more like Samsung Active 2 but without most of the smart things like apps store and etc

Now, it was easy, half a year ago you had to install HMS and Health app, no only Health app does the work.

Honestly - go with GT2 if you want 5-8-10 days of battery and smart functions but no apps. If you want the full package Samsung Active 2, but 2 days battery

In the health app, go to your device and you will see 'watch faces' select it, you will find hundreds of faces in three categories, Hot, New, and Free, there are hundreds to choose from. Have fun.

The ram is 16-32mb not gb....this watch is extremely limited by it ram,same as the old one was.They did improve on the storage (that was laughable...) but not on the ram.Its good at what it does by default but that all you will ever get.....A nice sport watch but not a good smart watch.

That`s true, I made a typo. The 42mm version has 16 megz and the 46mm has 46mm. Compared to the full blown Wear OS watches - they have up to 512mb - but then still - battery life 1-2 days :( Huawei could have upped the RAM a little bit as there is some stutter in the menu UI and navigation, although its not very noticeable.

@@VelianSpeaksTech Imo they need to up the ram considerably in order to compete with other watches...to be able to add more fictions to the watch.But it seems that their Os has its limitations and this is the best they can offer for now...That is not bad,but lags behind in functionality.

@@woofaki5550 True that... but Huawei abandoned the Wear OS because of battery issues ... it`s just not worth having a full blown OS on a small watch, also the Apple Watch can hold more then 2 days of battery, at the least the Huawei with Lite OS gets a decent battery life.

I am only thinking now about the Stratos 3 - if you want to have somewhat nice battery + you want to have a proper full functioning OS with apps support and be able to attach an external heart monitor - Srtatos 3 is close to that price. Else, without no doubt, if you can afford, then go with Garmin, the new Phoenix watches are crazy good and Garmin have their own eco system, apps, anything.

Phone : xiaomi mi9t pro with android 10, miui11 global. I had to download app gallery so i could download from there the huawei mobile services and health app to connect watch gt2 to the phone. Couldn't do that through play store because health app was crashing. I heard you say that you deleted hms and app gallery. How will you get updates to those apps? Is there a video how to install custom watchfaces? Can we connect watch gt2 to a pc? Thanks...

Hello Peppas, I downloaded the HMS (huawei mobility services) from an apk, and then download the health huawei from apk as well - as you need the beta health apk, to be able to load custom watchfaces. In fact, after paring the watch with your phone, you dont need HMS and app gallery, and the health app is updated via playstore BUT it`s better to KEEP them, for synching data to your huawei cloud account and etc. Yes, there are some videos here on KZfaq, search "installing custom watchfaces huawei gt watch". I dont had the chance to test the stratos 3, but stratos has a proper Android OS like Wear OS where you can download and install APKs (apps) and etc, so certainly will be a strong contender.

@@VelianSpeaksTech Thanks for the reply, I wasn't aware the Stratos ran a custom android os. It still gets around 7-14 days battery life. Thanks for the good review on the GT2. Where did you buy it for 175 Euro?

@@df3yt I bought it from OLX which is like eBay, i.e. mostly used goods, but this was brand new. Else it retails for 210 EUR even more.

@@VelianSpeaksTech I have both the gt2 and the stratos 3 and the display and all around looks of the gt2 watch is much better, I'm having a hard time reading the display of the stratos 3 outside, what's the use of a long battery if the display is very weak quality and brightness...I am returning the stratos 3 and keeping the gt2 if I can only figure out how to get some watch faces on this gt2

This watch is not able to memorise different running intervals(laps) and so it is absolute useless for serious runners.I have classical watch from 1998 that have that options.

I got on brand new the other day and have to say i will be posting a youtube add about it they ain't as good as they say, well put it this way mine showed as 4,8km but what i actually did 11,34k, oops not the heating app opened when i closed the watch down it now shows as 11.21miles i have been around this plenty of times before with Garmin google maps os maps, strava Allterain even to Thailand hiking no problems with Alltrails, with a Garmin Fenix 3 my battery died one day and lucky i had followed ot on the Garmin watch i had seen a road about 2.5 hours before it so followed my watch back, this one thats an old version. this is nowhere near as good people say in fact id rather waist ann extra £50 for something better, oh, by the way, no i don't like Garmin i think they are a rubbish sack of rubbish or maps, but for watch fantastic

@@VelianSpeaksTech :( I like the style of the huawei gt2 classic, but it seen so laggy plus not much can do with it unless I'm into fitness, im thinking just go for the samsung galaxy watch instead

The lag is mainly noticeable when you scroll through menus and not when tracking an activity.
