Thank you and congratulations: The best review of this watch so far! Some little remarks: Retail prices of Huawei watches usually going down clearly under the official prices. And watches which have additional possibility to download apps are about double in price and have shorter accu-life and do not look so smart. In so far the price is not to high. 50 met. water-resistance does not mean that you can dive until 50 meter. In fact for regular swim use it is even very much on limit and should have 100 met. However all smart watches which offer to be used for swimming have maximal 50 met. water-resistance.

The battery performance sold it for me. 14 days, and even with everything on you still get 7 days. Brilliant!

Excellent job. I like that you can answer calls with the watch. I also like the thickness, most watches are way too thick.

Huawei GT2 is 150% of the price of Amazfit GTS...functionality very similar, both have attractive design, Huawei has the phone calls, probably better sleep monitoring.

Great review, Chigz! Also, GT2 looks appealing. Regarding USB access to GT2 internal storage, you can't do it with 2 pin USB (which are just power, no data)

So, I am now prowdly owner of the watch. Something unmentioned I want to pay your attention to: It is possible to raise the standard time of 5 seconds after moving the arm to activate the screen can be set to 10, 15, 20 seconds. That for me is very nice function, because with my old fitness-band during running, the 5 seconds where sometimes to short, to read all functions. And something little negative: If the always on display function is activated, the arm-moving does not activate to standard-screen. In that cases have to press the upper botton or the screen to activate the standard screen.

Just bought this watch to go with my Samsung A8 and so far I’m pretty happy with it. Paired it to Huawei Health to use as a fitness tracker. My only complaint is the voice on the app is dreadful. Sounds like an American robot DJ. Great review mate 👍

Mine connected to my iPhone 11 Pro right at the first try - and even updated the watch system software. It is happily working.

I have been an Apple phone and watch user and now converted to Note series and pre-ordered GT2. I feel there is so much more value with these brands and state of the art technology at a lot lower price. I was against charge managing multiple devices (phone, laptop, watch, ear pods and so on)... I bought it just because I dont have to charge it at least for 5-6 days... More comments.

Great review. You clearly are enjoying this device as much as I am. One feature I would love to have is the ability to switch the music control from the phone to the watch. I am using an iPhone and despite the claim of compatibility, this is only one of a number of features denied IOS users.

I had the original Huawei watch. Absolutely loved it. But something to be aware of with AMOLED, is it will suffer burn in over time. I continue to wear mine, I just keep darker faces and it's not noticeable.

Hey! Could you please compare this with the Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch? I am confused between these two.

Got this watch at Christmas, and love it. I also have Samsung watch 46nm and much prefer this, even though it has less features that the Samsung it has far better battery life. Im getting a week to 10 days. I bought a bumper case on Ebay for 1 euro that absolutely transformed the huawei watch into a sort of G Shock type smart watch.

Hello from Greece my friend. Unfortunately, this smartwatch isn't available in my country, yet. I suppose and to other europian countries, too. Anyway, I hope to arrive soon because probably it will be my first smartwatch. The reason is that I have a Huawei smartphone and I am afraid if I buy a Samsung 46mm, I don't know if it will synchronize with my mobile. All the features of the watch, I mean. The first Huawei watch was Brilliant to me and still is for seeing my sugar levels on it and looking forward to trying the updated model I did a setup for it on my channel for T1's I can also say the first watch was not designed for sportswear but It's done all weathers for my cycling needs. Customer service as been great too!

There are a couple of questions I would like to ask you one is what apps are you using on your phone where you are doing the video and the other one is where do you get the faces for the watch. I have looked on the Huawei health app and I can’t see anything on there that’s anything like was showing on your phones or finding the faces.

Hey Chigz, Love your smart watch reviews ;-) I purchased a Huawei GT2 3 weeks ago and now use it as my daily driver over my Galaxy GW46mm watch, purely because i got sick of charging my GW46mm. Two days ago whilst browsing the Face Watch store in the Huawei Health App i noticed under "NEW" you can now purchase watch faces.... But when i go to tap to buy nothing happens :-( would you know why this is so ? Are Huawei still in a BETA mode for their Watch Face Store ? Or if not would you know how i can purchase the dials ? Hi. Nice review. I bought this watch last week. It is amazing. I recommend it. I still have a small complaint. In my package there wasn't any spare wrist at all. Is that normal? Or maybe Huawei send the spare wrist to youtubers only just for proposal reasons?

Is there a support for custom watch faces like the Amazfit GTR ? Secondly does it work with iPhone app equally well as android ?

I did some research on this watch from watching you tube videos and the Huawei website. The 46 mm is the only one that can make and answer phone calls. There is no integration to 3rd party apps like strava and My Fitness Pal. Stress tracking is only available on an android phone. And the IOS and android platform for the Huawei app is different. ( not sure what the differences are I just saw it on a you tube review). I decided to buy the 42mm version in rose gold. The straps are 22mm and replaceable. I think the watch looks very nice

Will it track staircases climbed or floors climbed I have an old garmin vivoactive hr, this is all I need but like the look of this watch.

Everything is perfect about this watch. The only things sucks is that you can not reply to text messages from you watch. Which is a huge bummer it only needs an software update but Huawei is not planning to do so.

Could you do a little test? I wonder if its possible to use timer with a exercise activity going on. Steps to try - 1: Set the quick launch button to open the timer 2: Launch an activity ie. gym and then call the quick launch button and see if it works. I'm asking this because I tried with the Amazfit GTR and this doesn't work ... sometimes I want to monitor one specific exercise ... ie. isometric

I use this smart watch and connected smoothly with my iphone x ios 13 No issues with phone calls or notifications... Everything works perfectly... But some features not working if you connected with iphone i.e stress level and you can not add songs to your watch... And also the watch face is limited with huawei health on i phone... Some clue if you want to add watch face, you can connecting to android phone with huawei health and download watch face as much as you can then disconnected from android and pairing with your iphone... So you still have many option of watch face installed on your watch... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

3 things that I'm misssing in this watch: 1. button only version (gloves support). 2. Saphire version or different bezel design so protective glass would be less visible. 3. Preset messages. Only reading the notifications is quite not enought for me.

I bought the watch. Thank you. I have a Sound problem. The sound settings. When I go into a meeting, I put my phone into vibration mode. No sounds. The problem is that if a call comes in it rings very loudly on the smartwatch. Weakening and amplifying is a problem every time, because I want to hear beep messages. . Why can't the phone control the sound?
