That's weird.. Never seen that good information brother....

I don't have anything that supports multiple strings. But i have seen tracking problems on some controllers like you're showing, that does seemed be fixed by changing up the PV series count. I think it's probably buggy MPPT algorithms.

Might be an issue of insufficient power per MPPT channel, not so much mismatched PV array potentials. Could also be if they are multiplexing one processor to do the MPPT sweep for each channel sequentially and it is carrying over variables from the previous channel cuz bad code or something.

Klein really let down us when they made that multimeter. It works awesome but the problem is it turns off to fast even while you're using it and the biggest problem is that it's impossible to see the digits in the sun. Even when you hold the brighten button it doesn't even help much.

Yeah I missed those downsides when I bought it. Today was my first time to get frustrated at exactly those two things!

The powmr 5k does that when in low light, it won’t settle out, it will pull the panels all the way down and then let go and try again, it just keeps the same amps and pulls the voltage down till it crashes
@BradCagle2 жыл бұрын
Yup I've seen this on other controllers. Well not pulling it all the down to 0, but it bouncing wildly.

Is that the one that operates at up to 500vdc?

@@BeeneEnergy I bought it because I saw it on your channel lol

I wish I had seen you bought this inverter and were having issues before now. I was very seriously about ready to purchase this, or the Luxpower (Huayu's supplier) 12k. I received such poor correspondence with these companies, coupled with reading about someone that sent money to Huaya for a 10k inverter, which they said they had in stock, only to have to fight tooth and nail with them for months to finally get a refund, which he only got after going public about it. I could also find nothing to suggest the inverters are solid, or even sorted, and god knows tech service or even getting something repaired would be a nightmare. All for $5k for the 10k model (obviously more for the 12k). It might turn out to be a great inverter at some point in the future, but for less than $3k more I decided spending the additional money for a Sol-Ark 15k was the wiser choice. At least I know it will work, I'll have amazing TS/CS 24/7, and no worries if it needs to be repaired. Not to mention it's a lot more inverter. I'm always big on saving money, but I'm very, very happy I didn't take a gamble on this inverter (or the Megarevo which seems to be loaded with issues as well)! I wish you the best of luck with yours!

Any discounts on panels for Disabled Vets, when picked up at your place in Mansfield?

Or voltage max input?
@climbrdude10522 жыл бұрын
What is the max input for watts on your inverter?
@BeeneEnergy2 жыл бұрын
Three mppt inputs, 6/6/12kw. Voltage is 90-600v.

Isn't it standard guidance to have identical, or at least very similar, strings coming into a charge controller? Does it have three distinct and separate charge controllers, or a single charge controller with the capacity to handle three incoming strings?
@benjones89772 жыл бұрын
Exactly, we need to know the list of components you’re using?
@BeeneEnergy2 жыл бұрын
Yes if it's a single mppt input I'd definitely want the parallel strings to be identical. But in this case the inverter has three separate MPPT inputs allowing for different strings/directions of panels. I updated the description with what inverter I'm messing with if you want to take a look. It's just so odd to me, figured with separate inputs they'd be separate inside but something appears to be combined internally. Or it's independent and a problem like Brad is saying, but it tracks just fine if just the one string of four 395w Jinko's are connected (49voc each).
@BeeneEnergy2 жыл бұрын
That's fair! I updated the description with a link to the product and manual.

@@BeeneEnergy - I think your answer lays in these numbers. That's taken from the spec's. Nominal DC Input Voltage 360V MPPT Operating Voltage Range 60V~550V Full Power MPPT Voltage Range 210V~480V

@@jasonbroom7147 I think it’s fair to say why the heck would I have a 1600w string of panels into such a nice inverter. But if I had the other two strings turned off I could get good consistent power out of it. Which is what throws me off. I dunno. I doubt I’ll get anything from the engineer about it so it’ll probably just be a mystery.
