Watch as today goes from an ordinary day to a day filled with surprises. It's going to be fun sprucing up the "annual" beds. Watch as the coleus transform ordinary areas into remarkable beauty. Some of my favorite shade loving perennials will give a mega boost to slightly dark, boring beds.

You’ve got the “eye” of a true gardener…..You go by your gifted instinct, you have a vision when you start, and go by what pleases you, and willing to “change” the plan as you go. Gardening is a sweet journey. 🌷🌻🌷Thanks for bringing us along, from a fellow gardener who, because of age, has had to step back a lot 😢 but in spirit I’m right with you.😊🌻🌷

I just love your show...you have such a natural gift for putting the varieties together and everything looks great! Can't wait to see what you've done each week. You're also teaching me to just focus on one little area at a time...I get overwhelmed with what needs to be done in my garden so I just keep your moxie in mind...thank you!🌿

I never comment on anything but I just have to this time. I love watching your videos. I find them so inspiring. I have gotten so many ideas from you. I garden in zone 5a and have a limited budget, so I really love how you make magic without spending a ton. I learned not to be afraid to move plants around, I learned to use old hoses as drip lines. I have learned to combine vision, imagination, and patience. I watch your videos over and over, and I just wanted you to know. Thanks.

I break my yard down in zones, each day I work a zone complete with any planting, maintenance, deadheading, weeding, watering then cleanup. This helps me keep on top of any work without feeling overwhelmed.

First time viewer and I loved your eclectic garden. One thought though, the ostrich ferns will take over your other plants, they are very prolific. I have had to pull mine out for a another area of my garden. I like the idea of a fern, so a smaller variety would highlight the other plants.

I love the whimsy in your garden. So many great ideas. You need to purchase yourself a 3 inch auger bit. They’re made for using with a drill and planting. That’s how I do all mine. So much faster. You will be amazed. And they’re very economical.

Loved this from start to finish. You certainly don’t waste a moment on your days off Mike 😊 I’m off outside for a bit now, you’ve inspired me. By the way I have the Sterling Silver Brunnera and you will not be disappointed. Also about to plant 3 different varieties of Ajuga which I’ve never had before. So many great ideas. I love Coleus but my snails and slugs do too. Might give them another try. Thanks for sharing ❤

Beautiful gardens! Shade plants are my favorites. I'm in a similar zone (St. Louis, 6b) and my ostrich ferns have spread but not aggressively. They also haven't reached 3' high yet. They are irrigated but probably would prefer even more water. I love all your heuchera! I've given up on them and now just admire them in other people's gardens.

Yes tired of the wind here in Ks. I’m so ready to plant my annuals but we keep having these cold nights dropping. I fried 2 flats of sun patiens, that came from family tree place. This is a great inspiration video, gave me lots of great ideas. Love all the pops of color. What are those narrow arborvitae’s, 3 of them by the moon gate?? Degroot maybe. I lost so many conifers from our dry cold winter. Also, trying to find forever Goldie arborvitae locally but tough to find. 😊 Thanks for doing these videos, ya know your garden design is at the top of the list here on KZfaq.

When I purchased my home 5 years ago there were approximately 30 rabbits hanging out and eating whatever they could find. I didn’t know what they preferred to eat, so I put my beautiful plants out to spruce up my new digs. After 3 wonderful days they decimated every plant. They started eating at the top of each plant ate them down to soil level. There are 2-3 rabbits still waiting. I did not trap so kill them. I closed off the underground openings and did not plant anything again. They love to eat coleus plants a lot. Chrysanthemums and marigolds not so much. Plants with a fragrance are not a preference for them. I’m in the high desert of California. Which plants are rabbit proof? I’m desperate. I’ve put artificial plants out so that we have something in the garden. Please give me some ideas. Than you
