Old Memories Came Back. I Remember I Was Having A Collection Of Shrek And Night At The Museum. Would come from school and watch it at the loop. Those were the days. I hope we had a time machine so that we could revisit those days. ❤❤❤❤

VHS tapes are over 40 years old, they're not so common anymore and most thrift stores just threwed those away, resulting in quite a shortage for local collectors, I just love the Orange VHS you found there, from a time were they tried making them "fun colored" kinda like you saw with DVD's and Cassettes, even vinyls. This always happened to those media, especially when they became a bit boring and too commonplace. Some of the things you may want to collect are really valuable things like Star-Wars VHS's etc. They contain the un-edited version of Starwars (before they added 3D graphics), and if you find them boxed (with the seal on), never unbox them if you intend to keep the value, but if it's just for fun - then why not, haha - it will upset some collectors out there when you tear the foil of (which I think is hilarious). Have you ever thought of taking one of your rooms - and just dedicate it to for example the 80s? Make sure the ENTIRE room is like a flashback to the 80s, so when you go there - it's like walking into a real time-zone from that era. I did that to the 50's, even repaired a 50's TV, put brand new old stock magazines from that time, and themed the entire room like you were back in the 50s (before both our time), it was amazing for visitors and an experience, almost like a theme park thing.

Seeing your excitement and enthusiasm for the type of things that I got excited about all those years ago really is great to watch. Your passion for retro is a passion for my nostalgia, keep up the great work.

I think you should show these tapes in use on a VCR with a CRT TV and talk about your feelings from watching films in this format. And of course, I wish you a good mood and new unique acquisitions in the new year.

Girl, that is a fantastic haul! I forgot all about Little Bear too but like you, I used to love him! That was really cool seeing that! It literally breaks my heart that the Grinch makes you sad! He is literally my favorite part of Christmas! Every Christmas I read the book and watch all three versions! Oh my God I haven’t seen The Wind In The Willows in I don’t know how many years I completely forgot about that one, but I love it! Now I want to see it again!

The year of manufacture is much more likely to be on the cassette itself. Just fyi. And yes, very good tape can be as good as CD quality. Hence why it's one of the few old formats (both audio and film masters) that can be converted or remastered to true high-definition.

I love VHS tape. I have about 100 cassettes in my collection. I watch it on old VCRs. My wife is surprised. Why don't we subscribe to Netflix?

I just love how over five minutes into the video it briefly slows to a stop and then resumes like a stopped record. If that wasn't intentional edit, it's still an interesting touch. 😁

I used to have an orange Little Bear tape! It was the winter solstice one. Also, Arthur Actimates was an Arthur doll that would watch the tape with you somehow. I think he connects to the VCR somehow and uses the closed captioning to follow along. Then he can chime in and whatnot. Peebs has videos about them. I have a similar Arthur tape, Lost in the Library.

i loved the mouse and the motorcycle!!! i read it in my grade 3 class, and then we watched the movie!! it's about a kid who lives in this hotel (Keith i think?) and he loves small cars, and this mouse who comes out from a hole in the wall and rides on his little cars!!! it's suuper cute, you'd love it

I love this video! some of those tapes I have in my VHS collection! I can’t wait until you get Sesame Street 25th birthday A musical celebration for your collection! The original release version is by Random house by the way and also the reissued version is by Sony Wonder. The random house one has the yellow label on it and on the front of the tape, you’ll see the random house logo and the children’s television workshop logo from 1982 on the front. The reissued version Sony Wonder version doesn’t have that. 😃😃📼📼

Nice haul! Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed In At The House Of Mouse is so nostalgic, so that was an amazing find in my opinion! Also the Pups Christmas and Casper tapes are compilations of Public Domain cartoons that don't have any copyright on them. Sometimes these tapes sneak in a copyrighted cartoon without permission which is kinda hilarious, so if you wanna demonstrate a VCR playing for a good amount of time without getting nailed with copyright, that is a good tape to showcase!
