R.I.P Bryan Pere dude influenced me when I was 14 I'm 24 now. They never made a bad song man. Hum were something else sad how mainstream rock went so heavy towards the 2000's and killed rock for the later years. they should have been just as big as incubus. Hum is incredible amazing work. Amazing musicians. I'll show my kids and my kids kids!!!!!!!!!!!

As others have mentioned this was from a superb comeback album Inlet from 2020, their first in 22 years! I only got into Hum last year; hearing their one "hit" song Stars and loved it. In all my 40 years I'd never heard or heard of them before, I don't think they ever got played much in Australia, probably only on Triple J (which I only started listening to in 1997). So I got the You'd Prefer An Astronaut album, which was alright but nothing on it was as good as Stars. But then I saw they had released a new album not long ago and I had a listen to it and it quickly became my favourite album of the last few years; they had leaned more into the shoegaze/space rock sound and every song worked and flowed perfectly into the next. I also really like Downward Is Heavenward but have found it nigh on impossible to find on cd.

Inlet is one of the few albums that I like well enough to put on and listen from start to finish. Before this Album I had never listened to these Cats. Glad YT recommended it to me and I actually gave it a chance. Kind of like when I heard October Rust from Type O for the first time only 7 or 8 years ago and have been listening to them just about nonstop ever since. Makes me wonder how much incredible music is out there that will never reach my ears so I don’t even know that it exists. Anyway, I’m glad at least that I have discovered this and will keep searching for more. I’ve been told that I would really like Radiohead but still have never checked them out. Cheers and Happy Halloween to everyone!

Sir what dictates a genre is the bands that are such behemoths such class acts that they determine what they are Think Pantera Meshuggah Korn Deftones Dance Gavin dance Avenged sevenfold Isis Ect ect Once they have paved that lane all other bands must label themselves such unless they can pave a niche a cut above the rest for themselves.

First, thank you for the song. Great to listen to your thoughts and breakdown. Second, I checked your twitch vods and I can't see any parts where twitch has muted your content. (It'll appear as red when you rewatch the saved recordings, aka vods) This is most likely because the video game music you listened to isn't secured by a label enforcing copyright. When playing Metal music, you're much more likely to run into muted Vods and copyright issues. I guess what I'm saying is get to know who owns the rights of the songs you play on Twitch as some companies are more vicious than others. You can always stream on youtube. I'm unsure if live streaming copyright works is the same as uploading videos for youtube. Maybe you could do heavy metal on the Key of Geebz youtube and video game ost on the Twitch channel? Sorry just trying to give a heads up on my twitch viewing experience.

I really appreciate the heads-up. I was thinking that the DRM copyright situation might be a tough one. Thanks again :)
@liquidicev
@liquidicev Жыл бұрын
@@KeyOfGeebz that's all good. DMCA doesn't necessarily mean a strike from Twitch. (But it's still a risk) But it does mean the section of the vod for the Twitch recording is muted (just from the time of playing the DMCA, not the whole vod). So if you're not already doing so I'd recommend recording the stream to your computer if you do the metal music stream. Streamers have found a way around the DMCA but it requires two PC's and your vod would still be muted... Too complicated.
