Thanks for this. I inherited my dad's collection after he passed. He has one of these in chrome/stainless? He found it in the lost and found at TWA back in the 80's. Definitely a different time back then. I've been wanting to clean it and couldn't figure out what I needed to do to get it apart, so now I know. Thanks a bunch.

I ADDED A 29M TO MY COLLECTION. Went to the wanenmacher and found a 29m in great shape. Talked the seller down from 550 to 475. Gun is in great condition. It goes perfectly with my stop and Pmod37 nazi contract I got earlier this year.

Hey, you are doing a fine job, and come at the subject as less of an expert researcher, and more of an ordinary guy with a passion for MILSURPS. The style works great, and you videos have come a long way since you started. Keep it up, and I will keep watching! And please, do a mix of pistols and rifles. Perhaps get with other MILSURP collectors you know and go over an item you don't have yet in your collection...

Actually bought one of these from BudsGunShop. Was almost $500 and only had a tiny picture showing one side. Got it and it was little worse on the other side. Not much pitting, just blueing gone. Don't regret buying it though because that's the only one I've seen for sale in at least 10 years. Might shoot it, might not. Have a Frommer Stop, 29M and 37M. Shoot the Stop a couple times a year. Very interesting guns.

Like I said in my reply to your question. This one is MUCH Better. When we can see the gun detail, color, machining, texture of the controls, grips, and its detail. And see your hands only perfect. that means the gun is the focus. In other words better then photos in a book. Videos wise this is the best one yet. I like to see that old world craftsmanship. That’s is one reason we like these old timers isn’t it?

Back in 2015 I walked into my local gun shop, I saw a 37M in their used pistol case for $250, as i was on my way to buy it I saw a sporterized K98 on the rifle rack for $150 My mind blanked and I bought the K98 which was bolt matching, but missing its barrel bands and had an FN trigger guard, had a mint barrel tho. I realized as I went home that I should have put down money on the 37M but figured I could just buy it when I came back to pick up the Rifle. It was gone and To this day I regret not getting it. Still want one.

Nice chocolate Zinger gun! I have seen that the 37M production run starts at 50K (mine is 50005... so pretty early), so that is maybe where the 50K comes from on the 29M.

Another pistol I wish I could find lol idk why but where I live in florida is really sparse on affordable military surplus pistols we see alot of overpriced US military stuff like 1903 colts and 1911s for prices in excess of 1200$ regularly for some reason we very rarely see any affordable interesting pistols we have plenty of nice rifles though lol I'm looking at an enfield 1853 pattern musket with 20 rounds of already made ammo with powder for 450$

Show the gun more. We really don’t need to see you. Put the gun in a stand. So we can see it up close. Stop waving the gun around. Very annoying. What you are doing is not great for video.
@MilsurpWorld
@MilsurpWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the honest feedback. Believe it or not I make a conscious effort to hold pistols as still as possible in these videos. Sometimes I forgot and wave it around a bit. I don't like sitting and talking on video so it's hard to arrange a pistol stand that is high enough that can keep both I and the pistol in focus. You think a lot more b-roll of the pistol would help during my monologues?
@bryanmise5105
@bryanmise5105 3 жыл бұрын
The concept of the channel is very good. Because there are others similar and very popular. C&R, forgotten weapons, as you have mentioned. However a blend that you are doing is sweet. The view on video, is that the gun, the item we are trying to watch. Is 95% to faraway from the camera. Show us the functionality of the gun and operation up close. These are guns most of us have never heard of or have seen. So just saying more close up much less far away shots. Good luck I do like the content. So thank you.
@MilsurpWorld
@MilsurpWorld 3 жыл бұрын
There was about 9 minutes of close-up just focusing on the pistol, a little over half the video. Just curious if you stopped watching before that or not.
@bryanmise5105
@bryanmise5105 3 жыл бұрын
No... I watch your videos all the way. Sometimes 2-3 times so I make sure I get the history part. This one is much better. As far as viewing the subject matter. I’m wondering because you don’t like to sit and make the video. Perhaps there’s a way to build a high table / platform so you can rest the weapon at a convenient height. Next to you or in front. When your showing the gun and your upper torso is also in frame the guns looks small on screen and then when you were moving it around it was difficult to see details. Think of it like someone showing you a photo they took on there phone. But that person keeps moving the phone. And your 6 feet away. Picture what I’m getting at. That’s one reason those other channels are popular. We can see the gun!!!
