Dog food is the worst, 2 months ago 24 tins of asda dog food was 9.50 now its 18.50, Greedflation is in full swing. because he banks reckon its only up by 16 percent it just the supermarkets pushing prices up as they see fit. last week Sainsburys said they made a 5% loss due to keeping prices low......in fact what happened was their profits were down 5% from the previous year due to losing footfall....they made 690million profit instead of 715 million the year before....that isnt loss that just a bit less profits. but thats how they word it.

As you say Gareth, it suits a purpose. In my case I view as emergency (well, not quite) rations. When you need something quick and hot and relatively tasty, and a pot noodle won't cut the mustard. Mind you at the price, you are better off going for your favourite brand of tinned beans and sausages, tbh.

I' had a few of those before, both the All Day Breakfast & Full Monty versions, i think they are OK for a quick snack, last time I bought one they were about £1.25 too. You can get own brand versions, which are a bit cheaper. If you heat them in the microwave, make sure you cut the meatballs & sausages in half & cover the container, as they have a tendency to burst & make a mess!

Hunger breaks used to do some other types of meals in a tin but you don’t often find them. I remember that one of them was a chilli con carne and another contained large potato wedges with beans and I think that one of them had mini lamb cutlets(chopped and shaped) and one had mini sausage meat balls filled with chopped eggs. Intermittent fasting is so, so good for you. Loads of benefits including weight loss, less inflammation, mental health improvements and so on. You could try the 16:8 option, where you would eat between 12 midday and 8 in the evening. Depending on how you feel you could then try doing 18:6 - only eating between 12 midday and 6 in the evening. It's easier than you think considering you're sleeping for a large chunk of that time. A lot of it is a mental challenge, to not give in to any cravings, but once you get used to it, it becomes quite easy. Drinking plenty of water with added electrolytes is a must. Despite what some people may think, in most cases fasting will actually help increase energy levels - not reduce them. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll be feeling spot on.
@BaldFoodieGuy
@BaldFoodieGuy Жыл бұрын
Cheers Alex yes was on that last time. I've tried them all, found to be hungry all the time lol
@chewy66
@chewy66 Жыл бұрын
@@BaldFoodieGuyI would say to drink more water and electrolytes when you fast. I drink approx 2.5 to 3 litres of water a day, and there is nothing worse than being hungry and dehydrated. You may always be hungry because you lack protein and fat. Carbs make you crave more carbs (empty calories) You won't put the weight back on if you change your eating habits for life. After I loose all the weight I need to, I will continue to fast most days as I think it's the most effective method of controlling weight.

Yes intermittent fasting is the best way of getting healthy with the added benefit of weight loss if done right. Don't eat processed foods when not fasting though or your hunger pangs will come back 10 fold. It's all about what u eat when u break the fast! Can still eat good tasty food but knock off sugar and carbs and you'll feel so much better! Good video though love your frankness Gareth... thank you x

A breakfast fry up is a traditional meal that should not be messed with. On a Sunday I go the "full monty" . 2 eggs, 1 sausage, 2 bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, a grilled tomato, fried bread, beans and if I remember to keep the ingredients during the week? A portion of bubble and squeak all with a couple of slices of toast to mop up with. The rest of the week? I may have egg and bacon, maybe egg and sausage, egg on toast, or tomatoes on toast. I've tried this type of meal when I was in Germany. They were a whole lot better. When it said bacon, they meant it, large chunks of what looked like belly pork, nice firm sausages, mushrooms and beans. Well nice for a cold morning on exercise. Good review mate. I was nearly climbing the walls with withdrawal symptoms. 😱🤯😱.

Thanks for the video, Gareth. I did a full monty for my Sunday breakfast as it goes!. I air fried everything other than the bread, beans and tomatoes. (Air fried the egg, mushrooms, bacon, black pudding, sausage, hash browns) - I have 2 Air fryers (a large single unit and a dual drawer Salter) - I had the large single drawer set on low to keep everything warm, while the dual drawer cooked the next thing. The eggs go in last for 4 minutes at 200c. You should try it at some point. The fasting has worked well for me. I eat during an 8 hour window now. 8 Hours to eat, 16 hours without (other than water or a cup of sugarless tea). I started at 12 hours on /12 off, then went 10/14 after a few weeks. I've been doing 8/16 since my 50th last November. Once your body adjusts, you'll feel better.

I love the All Day Breakfast version of these, but the price of them now is crazy. I remember picking these up for £1 at B&M and most supermarkets 'back in the day'

Heinz London Grill was the one Sapper. Remember it? Absolutely tremendous Scran, unfortunately they stopped making it. I would kill for it.!! It had Beans, Sausages, Kidneys & Bacon Bits in a BBQ Style Sauce, bangin on Toast with a fried Egg. Have a great Bank Holiday Brother 👏👏👏👏

Used to go Fishing.Not so much these Day's as i am a Full Time Carer for my Lovely Mum.I used to take just hot water in a flask to make the usual instant Meals.But the Carp Fishing Men and Women used to have all the Kit and Stoves and cook decent food as they are fishing all Day and Night.Some even have KZfaq Channels on what they like to Cook and Eat whilst Fishing

Better just do bake beans like this. Heat and thicken in a fry pan with some smoked paprika, put it on some toast, cover with grated cheddar, dash of cayenne pepper, and grill until all melted. Best of British!

£2.25 is the standard cost of tinned stuff in Tesco - at the moment. My treat has been their tinned chilli. For ages, £1.50. £2.25 now? No way, when similar quality chilli is available from Aldi and Lidl for much less. Tesco are pricing themselves out of the market. The Full Monty - it hits the spot for a quick meal. Once every six months, perhaps 😊

Tesco, Asda and definitely Morrisons are pricing themselves out. I only go in for specific items now. Wouldn't do a full shop in them anymore . I noticed pound stretcher has become extremely costly as well and the shelves always seem to be empty

Great video as usual bud. Sorry i missed the live beer. I'm on night call outs and sleep strange hours. Often looked at these tins that have a mouthwatering picture on the front, and wondered if theyd actually be shite!! Now i know! But...like you say, they have their uses. Keep up the channel bud, its real and honest and refreshing to hear truth instead of someone being sponsored to promote stuff. Also, that tin opener!!! Cheers buddy, all the best.
