The sad thing is: Art often imitates life, and while it may seem sad, there really ARE some people out there (both men AND women) who for one reason or another become too blinded by their love and loyalty to face the hard truth about their spouses/significant others. I’ve known several such people in real life myself! The truth is, it actually could’ve been worse… I’d say Laurie was actually damned lucky that her husband was JUST a deadbeat con artist and inept blackmailer, and that he wasn’t physically or psychologically abusive towards her like some men can be.

@@zuperdee I agree! That’s usually a case of blind ambition. I experienced that myself with my ex girlfriend before we broke up. You hope that they will become a good person.

@@rodneybenbow1787 That absolutely can be true, too-sometimes one does see the dark side of their partner, but they think they can actually change their partner (which VERY rarely ever happens!)… In other cases, one just doesn’t see their partner’s dark side… And sometimes (perhaps most times?) it’s because one is so afraid of being alone that they don’t WANT to see their partner’s darker side, even when it’s staring them right in the face… In those cases, friends and relatives may even try to intervene and tell the person that their partner is bad, and the person will respond with something like, “He’s NOT bad! You just don’t understand him the way I do!” I don’t think this seems to be the case with Laurie though-she seems genuinely unaware of her husband’s flaws, and yet despite that, she seems to accept his death and embrace the opportunity to move on and do things she couldn’t do WITH him so quickly at the end… And THAT part does not make very much sense-I would’ve expected her to ask some hard questions about herself after that, wondering how she could’ve been so blind, and how she could avoid another such tragedy in the future… And that is clearly a fault of the writers, I’d say.

Yes, he goes in and out of the safe house. What really was the worst was she worked nights to take care of sit on his ass and get kernels Eddie. Then Eddie says he cannot work for $30,000 per year. That's because Laura takes care of his lazy butt. Eddie would not work on a truck unloading cats. All you got to do is open the door and say scat.

I missed the ending. Did she get rid of loser husband? Did he die or go to prison? Hunter season 6, episode 12, broken dreams. Tks, (dog had to go out).

FUN FACT: I actually remember the DARE program from when I was in elementary school back in the 1980’s, and one of the things our DARE officer told our class (this was back in 1989) was that in all his 20 years on the police force, he NEVER fired his gun at anybody, and he came close to firing on only ONE occasion in all those 20 years. In real life, it is definitely NOT like on TV where cops are shown getting into shootouts with suspects all the time. I also have a total of FIVE current and retired cops in my family, plus one family member who is a forensic scientist, and ALL of them would tell you the same thing: Good cops who are law abiding and have professional conduct generally try to avoid using their guns at ALL costs, both because they hate to take anyone’s life, AND because it’s a MAJOR headache in terms of legal process and lost time on the job if they do. If a cop ever does find themselves in the unfortunate position of having to shoot someone, they are bound by law to report the shooting immediately, and they then get temporarily suspended from duty while the shooting is investigated officially to determine if the officer had acted properly. In short: This would be an ordeal that is both personally heart wrenching AND a truly arduous legal process that NO police officer ever wants to go through. Occasionally, there may be cases of police misconduct (for example, Rodney King, George Floyd, or Tony Timpa), but they are the exception rather than the rule, and given the MILLIONS of interactions the police have every year, they generally have a pretty good record. There will always be a few bad actors, as there are in virtually ANY human profession, and the potential for loss of life is precisely why the police face such a high bar when it comes to the use of lethal force.

Stepfanie Kramer was expecting her first child when she filmed this episode, I wonder if that's one of the reasons why she left at the end of season 6 as well as leving to pursue a music career which as we know sadly was unsuccessful .She is now in. Her late 60's and running a successful beauty business.
