Hunting Big Hardwood Timber Turkeys

Hunted a new place that I have never been. It took me all day but I killed one of the biggest turkeys of the year. When I always leave the house I say "it's adventure", and you don't want to miss this one!! Watch til the end and see!

These are by far, the best videos on hunting public land there is period. You do an amazing job informing everyone on public land hunting, and you're very encouraging. You make it look easy, but I know a pile of work and time goes into it. Keep doing what you're doing, being the great steward of the land you are, and a great role model for the people watching. It's encouraging to see someone put in the hard work and grind it out, and truly love the hunt like you do. Keep it coming. P.S. I've had to start tieing my boats up on public land in Alabama. People are cutting the ropes and pushing them off the bank its a sad world we live in, I hope you recover your boat.

A lot of people don’t realize the miles you have to put in sometimes to find a turkey. Also I could tell by that turkeys gobble that he was old!!!!!! One time he actually sounded Jake-ish , but then I heard the long drawn out gobble. I said that’s an old longbeard there. Congrats!! Hard work pays off!!!!!!

You hunt/think a lot like I do, im just a few years older. Ive recently moved to near Byrum, MS to be near my Mama(88). Looking forward to the next vid. You're definitely right about it's better to be safe than sorry, that's why I carry a Sawyer straw to drink the ground water through it. That's exactly every hunters worst nightmare to return to the boat or truck and it's gone. Sure would be a lot safer if you had someone with you.

A few years ago, I had my old Grumman canoe stole in a similar situation. I still check out every one I see on a car top, and look for it all over craigslist and facebook market, etc. Gonna be a bad day for somebody when I catch 'em with it.

Years ago I was on a 3 day hike in the Adirondacks. We ran out of water. We found a mountain stream coming out of the ground. Drank a LOT. Turned out this stream went in and out of the ground and my buddy and I decided to just follow it upstream a bit. Well, 50 yards upstream 2 dead hairless raccoons smack in the middle of the stream. Well, thats my story. At least the water stopped the dehydration heat stroke hallucinations.

Great hunt! What do you do with the meat from the previous hunt? I use a Montana Miss Purrfect decoy. They are light, compact, and very realistic looking.

Go to the DNR of the state you want to hunt. A lot of the western states have a hunt planer on their website.

@@DarrellBrooks-le1uq a lot of the WMA that are in River bottom have hogs on them. Call the area manager on the WMA and they will tell if there are hogs or not.

I think there's a lot of jumping to conclusions here, maybe they are a thief, maybe not. Possible they just figured it was swept away and that's where it washed up? Figured hey, maybe I'll take it back to the dock and turn it in. Innocent till proven guilty. Just my opinion.

Like finding money on the ground and pick it up, did I steal it? Am I turning it in? Just my opinion, like everyone else's, without facts. Love the chanel.
