My journey begins with high hopes at H&P Eatery in Sungai Ara, rumored to serve authentic Singapore-style noodles. However, fate had other plans as the stall was unexpectedly closed for three days. Undeterred, I explore the nearby wet market, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and picking up some local goodies.
But the hunt doesn't end there! A quick detour to Anjung Indah at Paya Terubong reveals that Balik Pulau durians are still a few weeks away from being in season. With disappointment lingering, I head home empty-handed, contemplating a weekend without a new video to share.

Never heard Bak Chor Mee but there is always something new to try & eat it. Well, after this vid, definitely you will visit this stall for yr fav BCM in few days times. Chendol or Cendol have variety of styles and flavor. Sedap juga yr chendol. Btw.....i had just noticed you had tattoo on yr hand with name of your first daughter Naomi. Wei! Talking about gaining weight. Everyone of us have a choice. Either eat more say 5 times a day or 2 times a day. Clothes and waistline definitely change drastically 😂

I'm Singaporean. The best BCM in Singapore according to many supposedly foodies is in Crawford Street. I won't mention the stall's name. My favourite is in Kovan hawker centre. There are 2 there, both equally good. Cheers.

1:49 yeah most durian selling right now in penang is siam durian. The uncle selling at Batu Lanchang market told me last week. Although some types of balik pulau durian are available but in limited quantity. Anyway the uncle also told me that it might take more than 2 weeks for the durian to be harvested due to the cuaca is still very warm.

That's why when some sellers say theirs is from BP... I doubt it. I called a few dusun all said June better lah. 😂😂😂

@@pishedbloke yeah wait until the BP durian is readily available in June. Price also will be cheaper. Right now BP Durian only have the mahal ones. I've never tried siam durian before by the way. Also near new world park there's a new malay restaurant just opened few months ago but I haven't had the time to eat there. It's called restoran tok Muda masakan melayu. Seems to have high ratings on Google although just about a dozen ratings online. Maybe you can check it out

Try and make your own bak chor mee since you have eaten it, and know how it tastes like. Important ingredient is good quality vinegar.

Hahaha actually I know how to make it, but we don'y have the Teochew mee pok here, only Cantonese egg noodles. I believe this stall uses that noodles also, but I guess it is close enough

For me, the food there is so-so... I won't purposely drive all the way there to eat lah. The best stuff I like there is the Jawa mee, wat tan hor and mee goreng Bangkok Lane (a bit expensive now).

@@pishedbloke bro, next if you are in NWP, do check out the curry chicken rice, beside the muah chee stall. Highly recommended. It's located at the middle section quite near to the drinks stall
