Thanks mate, I zero the rifle in at 30 meters mate as this is where the path of the bullet crosses the line of sight. With the natural path of the bullet the bullet will be back on target at 200m. This allows me to have the confidence of close in shots and also running shots out to 200m. Very rarely will i take a shot past 200m but when I do I need to hold off as the distance increases past 200m.

I think the trick is to not hold a sight picture too long. In other words when the pig is in the sights don't try and hold it too long just squeeze off the shot when all is lined up. Sometimes this all happens in a couple of seconds.

I shoot a win 94, with 170 grain soft points. My only complaint is that if I don't hit the vitals, it goes right through. But zero bruises after a 12+ hour hunt.

@@montanalivin8248 you can find some rounds that are lighter here.! I like 150 GRN. On open shots & 165 in woods for I have found that the 165 GRN is the heaviest bullet I can shoot & still get good expansion. I like the 150 GRN for open flat shots but lighter bullets in open land are good also. I find the 180 GRN bullets just don't open UP. & Are more for Bigger Game that need more Penetration. Like Shoulder blades & such. Hope this helps

Other pigs eat them mate as the farmer wants us to cull as many as possible when we stay there. I am not set up like the pro shooters but I should invite a crew out to pick up some pigs as it is a waste of meat
