As we headed from Zealand Falls hut down into Crawford Notch we started to feel the wear and tear of rough hiking and the weather started to turn. We are a (sort of) normal couple living a rather unusual lifestyle in a Tiny House on Wheels (192 square feet) trying to fit more adventure, travel and exploration into our lives! We love to go camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking…and traveling with our 16 foot Scamp Trailer. We have an awesome Adventure dog named Redford that is up for anything. I have heard so much about the AMC huts from other hikers in the past - it was great to finally experience it for ourselves & try their amazing cooking! I could get used to backpacking like this 😁

when you are in the huts the hikers talk about which other Huts they have been to & try to visit them all at some point- now I see why!

These past couple of episodes have been really kind of intense for some reason; like being there with you. I doubt I’ll ever hike the White Mountains so I’m grateful to you both for sharing such a neat experience! X

These backpacking days were intense for us- pushed us out of our comfort zone for sure! but things swing back around in the next video for one of my favorite hiking days ever 😊 that's backpacking for ya! thanks to youtube you can come alone without having to worry about hypothermia or bears 👍 Thanks for watching!!

Thank you! You guys always inspire me. You guys covered some elevation there I see. I can relate to the knees hurting. Wait until the hips join in😜 You are slim, fit, and flexible with your yoga, Laura. That will help as you age. It's low impact, not like skiing for a living. No regrets, just gotta pace myself these days, and bring ibuprofen. Gotta go to the Forest. Thanks!

im so glad these videos bring you inspiration 😊 It takes a lot of preparation to enjoy the outdoors & each year it takes more work to get us physically ready for those challenges But it is sooo worth it 🌲❤️ you love to Ski...that is awesome! our recent trip to northern Vermont had us thinking about giving it a try! I will have a talk with my knees and see if they agree 😂😂

Laura, if you have ever ice skated, or used rollerblades, you will be a good skier. It's so easy to learn with the skis nowadays. Plus, you and Patrick like the whole experience of a day out and about. You'd probably love coming into the lodge at lunch and having hot soup and going out for your afternoon lesson. It's like anything else, if you put some time in, you can't help but improve. It's fun and makes you strong. Go for it. Riding chairlifts is fun also. Take lessons, you will make it easier. Take private lessons if you can afford that. More you time. Cheers!
