Trying to keep the attention of your students during a whole-group lecture is hard enough during a normal school year. Trying to do it when you're in a hybrid classroom, teaching in-person and remote students concurrently, feels like a lost cause.
During hybrid learning, I've opted for a self-paced model in my middle-school math class.
