The Resolution under debate is:
Understanding that the Grey/Black Hydrogen in our current economy is indispensable for industrial processes and that any Green hydrogen made must be reserved for industry; “Be it resolved that there is a significant market for hydrogen in Medium & Heavy Duty Vehicles, marine, and air transportation".
Arguing in favour of the resolution is Matthew Klippenstein, P.Eng
A chemical engineer who’s worked in wind energy and battery generation but spent most of his career in hydrogen, he’s currently the Regional Director for Western Canada for the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association. An early guest on The Energy Transition Show (episode 15?) and occasional contributor to National Observer, he’s provided commentary for industry and general media outlets ranging from GreenTechMedia and successor Canary Media, CBC radio and television, NPR and BBC TV.

Arguing in opposition to the resolution is Paul Martin a chemical engineer with decades of experience making and using hydrogen and syngas, including dozens of projects working for the world's largest designer and builder of pilot plants for the chemical process industry, serving an international clientele. He is a co-founder of the Hydrogen Science Coalition, a not for profit group of engineers who offer a science-based perspective about hydrogen's role in decarbonization from a position free of financial interest. He now practices as an independent consultant offering services through Spitfire Research Inc. and lives in Toronto. And, I think, he has the only Triumph TR6 EV conversion in Canada.
