I watched all of your HLD videos, because I enjoyed your commentary and liked your personality. You helped me find all things I've missed, also taught me how to play better, and I felt like I had company while playing, because I could compare our results :) So thank you for all your work :) You should definitely do something more in the future!

Happy belated birthday! I've probably been watching since just after the day of it but just now moved on to this one. I wanted to comment to say I'm glad you're a part of the video game community and thank you for all the guide videos. Also, the secret to beating soccer kid is the BFS upgrade.

Dude! Love these videos, the biggest thing other than all the secrets I got from these are the super calm casual play style! Really helped me to remember to chill out while throwing my controller during the arena. thanks for these man!

The arena was pretty tough, especially starting with the left. Found that the hardest one for some reason. Though they were a cake walk compared to soccer... Glad you like the videos, and thanks for the comment. I try to keep it chill :)

I'm starting to get the hang of things, but it's been pretty uninspiring lately. Shift is harder to adjust to than I thought, especially trying to meet up with people. Thanks for the late happy birthday though :)

The reason the addition of the secret markers is due to the reviews on the game. A lot of critics did not like the constant wall hugging needed to find certain needed and obtainable items. Due to this bad comment they went back and added the secret markers to alleviate that issue.

Makes sense. That's how I found most of the secrets. Some really weren't telegraphed at all.

Man, thanks for really useful videos, and if you like games with so many secrets you should try FEZ, also composer for Hyper Light Drifter made ost for FEZ, and the atmosphere in both games ate similar. Except that Drifter it's action and puzzle, and FEZ is pure puzzle game. I really want to see videos about FEZ on your channel, i know that there is a lot videos about secrets in FEZ, but i just like how you do it. Thanks and good luck!

i encountered a problem when i went to get the fuschia outfit, the 'get' animation showed the gree/blue set that i had already gotten, i went to my room and there was no fuschia outfit. anyone knows how to fix this? help

I'm about to start playing this game soon, and I've been looking for a good 100% guide. Would you still recommend your videos even after the patches and updates?

If you follow the whole series, you will end up with everything. Some things will be different, like a couple rooms and the enemy drops, but they still cover everything. You can always ask in the comments if anything is off. Plus everything is timestamped, so that's a plus.

Thanks for your guides! I just got the shine bright achievement! I literally have no idea as to how I'm going to get the dash eternal achievement...i'm on ps4 so it's next to impossible.

It's definitely tough. I only did it using the keyboard controls and mouse trick. But it's definitely doable: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsunl7aKrLKudIk.html the only real tip I can give is to find a song with a good bbm to dash to, and take breaks. Probably won't get it first day you try, I didn't even with the easier method.

Console or PC? If you can pull your save file, there's a program that'll tell you which you're missing. Otherwise, there's no easy way to do it besides backtracking :(

Yeah i'm on PS4, so no fancy save file cracking for me. Gotta do it the old fashioned way. Btw if you're still looking for an awesome indie game, you should totally play Axiom Verge.

If you happen to be on PC, I know there was a save file analyzer, don't remember the link though. For console, I honestly don't know of a way besides backtracking. I'd just start with the town (did you do 100 dashes?) then revisit your favorite areas. I guess you're going for all achievements? Otherwise I'd just say enjoy what you did and try the Alt Drifter or NG+.

sadly im on xbox, Ill just have to backtrack and be sure to use the map to check everything off this time. I imagine I missed 2 gearbits at points where I died and just assumed I was remembering everything when catching up to your video. Thanks for the reply though!

You have played more difficulty with other items? 3 and then two of life. In the southern part, the head of the Scythe, at the beginning of the fight, I approached very quickly with the shotgun and died quickly, fell and were not Gearbits: v Excuse my bad English. Speak Spanish. Greetings from Argentina.

The Scythe Boss didn't drop Gearbits when you beat him? I'm not sure what would cause that to happen, or how to fix it :/ Have you tried restarting the game and going back to the room? It might see you haven't collected the Gearbits and put them in the middle of the room. Even if you don't get *every* Gearbit, you can still buy all the upgrades, you just won't get the Shine Bright achievement...

I don't know if this is well-documented or anything, but you can win the soccer game by just using the blade charge move as soon as the ball spawns. It'll go into the net every time if you're centered and facing the ball when you let go. A little cheaty, but the game is way too annoying, honestly.

Good tip. It used to be worse. I think they made his hitbox smaller or something. Everyone must've called him out for cheating.

I believe so. This is probably an unfounded rumor, but I heard you can hear him playing music if you stand near him. Never tried myself. I think there are a few other cameos in the game as well, though can't remember who.

Yep, i tried and if you go close to him you get to hear that sort of guitar he’s playing. If you check his face, it looks a bit like W. D. Gaster from Undertale :D I need to thank you because i got to experience how playing HLD normally is like thanks to your videos. I had already completed the game when i started watching your playlist. I played the HLD mac version which is the hardcore difficulty version because it’s plagued by lag and the only way to reduce it is to play the game in a 480p window, perfect for noticing every detail :D Furthermore i had to aim both the gun and the SWORD SLICE with the mouse, since i don’t have a controller :D

The most thrilling part is when the mouse pointer gets out of the window and you lose control of the drifter, except the enemies don’t lie down while that happens :D At the same time, it’s a wonderful game, I just couldn’t stop playing :) I’m glad Heart Machine even got to make a mac version despite the flaws.

I found that the easiest one for me is to use the charge attack. When a round starts and the ball is in the center of the field, if you position yourself so that the slash knocks the ball forward, the AI seems to get confused and the kid kicks the ball into his own goal. This can be repeated indefinitely. When you figure out the positioning, it's easy to win the match with a perfect score. What's kind of funny is, using this method, if you're standing too close to the ball when you hit it, you'll knock it directly into you own goal.
