they made gearbit #42 a lot easier to get in the most recent update. it now has a little island that can be dashed to.

+Tterraj42 I'm sure it really helps to be one of the only people I've found that is working on tackling something as big as this with this game. Now hurry up with the forest already! I'm still missing one key and one monolith! :D

My game has an extra platform at 1:32 which makes that dash across easier, not sure thats a good thing

I'd say it's a good thing. That jump was way too tight. The trick should be in the discovery, not the execution. I skipped it the first time I found it because I thought I was missing a platform.

Thanks for this! Do you keep bits you've collected after warping out of the area without hitting a save point?

+HeyItsJono Yes. The only way you'd lose anything is if you die. Then it would just put you back at the last auto-save. So you can grab stuff then teleport back.

Saw your thread on Reddit - did you ever post where your last missing gearbit in East was? This video is still ending at 43 bits, and I'm not seeing where the final missing bit is to put me at 44. This guide was way helpful, by the way, and sorry if it's in another video and I just never caught it! Thanks!

It's in the "Final Secrets" video. It's also noted in the description of the "Eastern Secrets" video, but not in this one. Uh, guess that is sorta confusing, sorry! I'll uh, make a note in the description of this one, to check the description of the other video...

Thanks! Yea, I was a dipshit and found it after the fact because I went on and was digging and saw the extras and felt real dumb. Bang up job, by the way. I'm doing South now and then braving the final boss-also trying the Horde/Gauntlet and getting HANDLED. Thanks for these videos!

dang, i have one purple node (east) and two keys (probably east) missing.. is there any way of finding out which? or do I just have to comb through the entire region again?

Unfortunately, backtracking to each is the only way :\ it's not so bad though, just focus on enjoying the encounters as they come. The timestamps should help a lot too.
