I have a 46" HD TV that has all the old inputs on the back and lots of them. I've had it for 11 years and I'm going to hate the day it stops working because then I hit this wall with needing good HDMI solutions, not being able to have everything hooked up like I do now. From what I watched, Hyperkin cables do a pretty base level job of HDMI output but they seem adequate enough in your video. The Pound cables are in the same league but produce a brighter picture in your comparison. It's hard to say which is more accurate for brightness and colour. I'd say it's more important to adjust the settings on the TV to your liking. Same goes with post production with footage you record. The RetroTINK 5X (around $300) is the best thing to minimise lag and have good options for HDMI picture output. There are some other products in between but what you're using seems fine for playing on your TV and recording. I've never thought your game footage looks like it needs fixing. In fact, I like that you use original hardware and that it reflect that.
