I dunno why Hinduism is mostly identified woth brahminism when thr basic deity of hindus Rama was a kshatriya and krishna was a yadava. Ravana was a Brahmin in fact.

@@ajaydalaya2195 it's because brahman are just 3% in number and if they convert then the rest of hindu samaj will follow suit and will also convert. Just take the example of Goa. It is still a hindu majority state because the Brahmins there waged war against the Portuguese and until a treaty was signed between them which ensured that the Portuguese will stop killing them for not converting the fight continued. It is also the reason why Aurangzeb used to convert thousands of Brahmins everyday giving them two choices either convert or die. And because they are just 3% so it is easy to attack Hinduism and degrade it's century old traditions under the garb of Brahminism. They actually indirectly belittle Hinduism using the word Brahminism.

Abhijit’s big argument about white colonisation being a better replacement than one of the natives being the ruler class is so problematic for so many reasons. He talked about some ancient ritual in which human sacrifice was important. Does he realise that people have used the exact same reasoning when it came to things like Sati? The British literally say that colonisation was important to rid us of our evils and hence they did us a favour.

The point that Abhijit is missing, which makes his entire argument as baseless as a house of cards, is the concept of scale.
