This is the brand new model Hyundai Tucson. It has been a massive success in Ireland and has been a top seller for the last 5 years. EP Mooney Hyundai Deansgrange sent a transporter across Europe to get these cars in the country and as of mid November 2020, most Hyundai dealers have one in the showroom with test drives available soon.
Check out the exterior, interior and some of the features of this totally brand new model that comes in hybrid for petrol models and 1.6 diesel with a manual gearbox available if you go for the latter.

Love the look of this . A huge improvement. This is going to be massive. The car park in work is full of the current shape, wait till they see this .this is the top spec of course. I never considered an suv for a second, but I'm liking this 👌. Great review as always

Very nice review - perfect for a “first look” introduction. To be honest the more the camera zoomed in to the interior and parts of the exterior, the first impression of modern luxury kinda began to fail for me. Halogen indicators at the rear? Love the light bar across the back though.

You should make this the prize in your 10k subs giveaway 😁. Nearly there, so fair play. Lovely looking car though. One thing that caught my eye is the rear passenger window. From the outside it looks pretty average sized, but from the inside looks huge. And the ledge looks fairly low, so great for kids.

I love the confidence hyundai have poured into this car, I have an hyundai i40 estate and its a bargain of a car, love it, hope they still keep their competitive pricing but understand that this model warrants a price increase. Lovely car

One thing my car a 2016 Renault Kadjar does that that car does is allows you to store the parcel shelf under the boot floor so that's nothing new plus it has a digital display as well. Funky as the Hyundai is it's a bit busy at the front tho' the rear is nice. It's good also to see them still making a diesel but all of them are very expensive.

I genuinely love the new look of the new Tucson. Truthfully, I despise the 2016 model from day 1 as they were so common and bland. This however, I would genuinely consider when I go to change my GTD (and that says alot); sharp looks, good residuals, good dealer network. Also they have moved with the touchscreen times in terms of modernity, but not gone down the VW/Peugeot route with heating controls etc which has turned me and many other Golf/Leon fanatics away from the car. Do you know what trim cruise control or even adaptive cruise is on? Website doesn't mention.

Korean car design have stepped it up. This is the best looking car in its class. So unique and luxury looking! Korean car design are so much better than Japanese cars in my opinion. Look much more luxury.

Karoq would be a bit smaller. 3008 a direct competitor for it alright. Didn’t get a chance to drive it so I’d need to for an overall comparison. Petrol 3008 without hybrid is a fair bit cheaper as is the Skoda though.

I’ve test drove one last Monday, was an executive plus, really nice drive, but the jump in price was a bit much, so I have the executive model on order for the new year. Just a note, all hybrids don’t have a spare wheel and the wheels on comfort plus and exucutive hybrid are 17”. Jumps to 19” on the exec plus model

@@markflanagan4656 I put €50 in tank when I picked it up, which was on the 7th. I’ll have to put some in today , but I am doing a bit of driving up and down n7. What colour you go for? You get the two tone roof? When you collect car don’t forget to download the BlueLink app.

No we didn't go for the dark roof as we were already over budget at 43k on the road price Was a little disappointed with lack of some feature i saw online and not available in Ireland Wireless car play/android auto Blind spot detection Electric tailgate Panoramic roof 360 camera Cameras in the cluster for switching lanes The control on keys for parking in and out parking spots remotely

@@markflanagan4656 I know. I went for teal colour with the black leather interior. It seems Ireland have once again missed out on some features, even the fact that I have a hybrid which is dearer than the diesel but only get 17” wheels whereas diesel exec gets 18”.

@@danielbelo5941 it’s because they’re all auto boxes now with hybrid engines. If you could buy a standard petrol with a manual box, the increase wouldn’t be as dramatic. Can only assume it was all driven by emissions targets for Hyundai to not have a petrol only option.

@@TremendousQuill I think there was actually but I've noticed some LEDs in cars of late have an adjuster. Perhaps moving away from the auto levelling of xenons, it does seem like a backward step so I'm not sure of the reason, it must be justified somewhere though.

Nobby on cars I'm confused because you say that all petrols are hybrid and all auto!! I test drove a new tuscon today which was the 1.6 connect petrol which was not hybrid and had a maual gearbox can you explain.

@@marccarter4469 what you’re talking about is mild hybrid assist. It’s not the same. Think Toyota hybrid which isn’t plug in (all automatic) or then you’ve a plug in hybrid which you can now get in the Tucson, again auto.

very impressive looking car, the only thing I have about Hyundai is their reputation in reliability I see a lot of Tucson's with gearbox and clutch issues along with tail lights filling up with water etc I think after 4 years a lot of hard plastic and fabrics become lose or start to creak after all there a Korean car that has come along way but for that money, it's questionable of how many years you'll get of trouble-free driving!

@@NobbyOnCars Over here in the Netherlands we can order 3 versions when it comes to petrol. . All the petrol cars are hybrids, a mild hybride with just 48v battery, a HEV version with 1,49 kWh and the plug in version. On thursday i'm gonna test drive the plug in hybrid , 265hp and 350nm, which is supposed to do 55 ish KM on electric with a full battery.. In practice probably 40-45 , i hope! Our trim versions are called different, I motion , Smart , Comfort Smart , and then the Premium and Premium Sky. Great video , made me even more confident that i'm gonna buy this car. Thank you.

Sadly not yet. Car only came into the country on Monday and dealer wanted to keep it in showroom for a week or so.

Cause when you’ve beasts like Carwow and a little independent channel like mine gets a car first, it’s a big deal.

@@NobbyOnCars Fine. That's entirely up to you. But you didn't specify a specific channel, you generalised. "1-0 vs the UK". But hey ho. Different strokes, and all that. BTW; if there's a spare one of those Tucsons knocking around that you don't know what to do with, I'm willing to put my self out and take it off your hands. Not one of the hairdryer variants though; I'll stick with the diesel. Thanks.

love the design however the engine for me will be the let down ... would love 2.0 /hybrid similar to Lexus or even Toyota Love me smooth quiet engine

아직 테스트되지 않았다고 생각하지만 별 5 개를 기대합니다. HUD-이유가 확실하지 않습니다. 아마도 우리나라 (아일랜드)에서는 많은 사람들이 선택하지 않을 것이라고 생각합니다.

Disappointing, from the side it looks exactly like he old ix35 and when you said there was halogen bulbs in the back seats that was enough. Not sure how much your being paid by Mooney's but I prefer more impartial reviews. I'd seen these in the last week and got very excited about it but damn e older car was far nicer shape wise.

Light bulb indicators and interior lights. That is the high spec model. Again Hyundai have indicators to low and separate from rear light cluster. Not so premium.
