The IONIQ 5 N TA Spec, driven by Hyundai World Rally driver Dani Sordo, finished the race in 09:30.852, winning the exhibition class and placing third overall in the 102nd running of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual automobile hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The track measures 12.42 miles and has over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft. from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,115 ft.

If only Hyundai would release all their N cars in Gran Turismo 7. I own a Kona N, and will buy a Ioniq 6 N when it's released here in the states.

I think that's difficult. This is because the company that makes Gran Trismo is a subsidiary of Sony, and Sony is a Japanese company. And Japan has a strong sense of keeping in check the Korean companies it abused in the past as a colony. For comparison, it would be easy to imagine how the United States would feel if Mexico, whose land the United States had stolen and abused, grew into a national power equal to that of the United States. I don't think it would be easy to play the role of promoting a Korean company's product in a game made by such a Japanese company.

I believe the team just added speakers to meet race code amplitude db minimum threshold and used the already present engine sound effects. That other pitch may have been fill when the standard audio track wasn’t loud enough. 🤷🏻

Look at how much more focus on the road he is and not worrying about what gear he is in. And the car just goes! Both hands are always on the wheel giving him much more control. The perfect environment to set a new record.

2톤 가까운 무게로 오르막을 이렇게 달리다니. 대단. 카메라 각도가 살짝 아쉽네 . ㅋㅋ 좀만 낮게 달고 앞에 잘 보이게 세팅 했으면 좋았을듯.

TA spec has the new suspension setting , tires, and software boost that gives extra hp. The battery and electric motor are the same as stock 5n’s.

Battery management redesigned in every I5N set the stage for Hyundai to open up 40 more ponies over stock knowing they wouldn’t have thermal issues for this race. Other than that and race imposed regulations with some added graphics she was off the manufacturing line for power delivery and cooling. They did get modified brake pads and rotors and this TA modified version had aero to keep it planted with downforce observed over that rough road surface. Sordo however was not the average driver and cashed the check the Hyundai team wrote for all it was worth.🎯🚗💨

it has 40more hp and proper motorsport coilover suspension but more importantly it has a huge front wing which enables them to run a huge rear wing, so this thing makes a lot more grip via downforce at high speeds. he's just able to hold much more speed mid corner without worrying about losing the car. that and sordo is an absolute tarmac specialist weapon out there, he was +20s faster than randy pobst in the same car

저기 실제 갔다 왔는데 30km정도로 다녀야 해여 지금은 두 차선 다 써서 넓어 보이지만 한 차선만 쓰면 바로 옆이 낭떨어지라 그리고 도로 상태 개판입니다 그래서 빨리 못 달림;;;

높은곳의 아스팔트는 데미지가 많습니다. 온도 격차가 심해서 그렇죠. 땅속에 얼음이 생겼다 녹았다 하니까 아스팔트가 들림.

해가 가려지는 부분에서의 갑자기 어두워져 갑작스런 시야 확보가 어려울 것 같네요. 도로 상황이 그닥 좋지 않음에도 거동이 생각보다 안정적으로 보입니다. 그리고 경치가 끝내주겠네요~

제주 오시면 제주시에서 하나라산을 넘어 서귀포로 넘어가는 1100도로 있는데 도로 모양은 저거랑 비슷해요 밤에 가면 튜닝카들 엄청 많이 출현함

코스가 살벌하다... 삐끗 잘못해서 코스 이탈하면 곧바로 천국행 아무리 오르막이라지만 저 속도로 밟아데는 레이서나 그걸 버티는 자동차나 대단하네 근데 저 구간은 내리막하기에는 힘들듯.너무 위험해서 내리막 이벤트 있으면 사람들 줄줄이 죽어나갈듯

정말 잘하고도 더 잘할 수 있는기회를 놓치네요. 이 영상은 더 일찍 나와야 했고 이왕 나올려면 gps 기반으로 작은 맵이 있고 코너 코너를 공략 할 때 속도랑 브레이킹 포인트가 같이 나왔으면 하는데. 이게 비밀인가요? 왜 같이 안 나오는지?

Hard to gage the record run. No clips of time, speed, course track distance. Or racing against a clock time. Or comparison run vs next fastest group of competitors. Thanks for the details in the comments.
