I-765 Employment Authorization Updates - Approval Notices VALID as Proof to Work & New Form Edition

Due to the extraordinary and unprecedented COVID-19 public health emergency, the production of certain Employment Authorization Documents (Form I-766, EAD) is delayed.  As a result, employees may use Form I-797, Notice of Action, with a Notice date on or after December 1, 2019 through and including August 20, 2020 informing an applicant of approval of an Application for Employment Authorization (Form I-765) as a Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, List C #7 document that establishes employment authorization issued by the Department of Homeland Security pursuant to 8 C.F.R. 274a.2(b)(1)(v)(C)(7), even though the Notice states it is not evidence of employment authorization.  Employees may present their Form I-797 Notice of Action showing approval of their I-765 application as a list C document for Form I-9 compliance until December 1, 2020.
Also, NEW EDITION of Form I-765 takes effect August 25, 2020. Make sure you use the correct form!

thank you soo much for your huge help. I just saw your video and then checked back our application and realized that the submitted form was expired! we were shocked that the attorney also missed this. I've heard that you're NOT supposed to pay for your biometrics because they aren't being done due to COVID. My brother got a letter saying they won't be performing any biometrics, but the money is non-refundable

The 10/20 renewal papers have been sent and so far we have not received anything on receipt. This is normal with COVID-19

Additional questions... Did you enter US legally? Yes or No. If No, Did you present yourself to CBP or DHS or USCIS on or before 48 Hrs after your arrival? Yes or No, If no Why you didn't?

My work permit is about to expire by the end of the month. My lawyer and I have been send my renewal almost a month ago now via FedEx overnight and I did not even get a receipt yet. We emailed them but no answer. I was supposed to start my new job soon and I just got my drivers license. They haven't even continued yet to work on my VAWA since a year ago. It's really frustrating.

Hi miss D'Angelo. Thank you for your information. I'm waiting for deportation since 1992 to cambodia while I'm still the immigration allowed me work in United States until they decided to . So right now what forms do I need to use to apply I 765 and category is C 18 for 2021 ?

I got my ead approved and my already received my card. My problem is I don’t have ssn. I called to ssa and they say they can’t give a ssn unless I have a proof that I already have employer .

So i entered the USA with a B1/B2 visa. I got married and i now have my work authorization and advance parole. And just return from a trip to my country. What will be my ELEGIBITY CATEGORY?
