The same thing happened to me. I was told there was a new Chinese restaurant near my house that opened that day so i decided to check it out. I assumed it was just another american style chinese place, and went in to get a standard combo. I walked in and was met with marble floors, bamboo tables and cloth napkins. They greeted me very enthusiastically since i was their very first customer and they showed me to a table right away. I felt trapped since they were telling me allll about their new restaurant and how this was the first authentic chinese place to open in my province. They had traditional mandarin and cantonese dishes I've never heard of. The prices were terrifying but it was too late to flee so i ordered a spicy pork dish from the cantonese side of the menu and a tea. It cost me $75 but it was incredibly good. There were flavours in the sauce i've never had before and I was glad I went
