You should make a rare plant called “the gelli bush” which is a type of fruit that is green and it’s a favorite food for gelli and it grows in a bush

It is my personal head canon that, scientifically speaking, gellis are single celled mutualists that envelope their host organism(usually a plant) and use their bodies as an extension of the host’s roots/method of obtaining nutrients, providing the host with the nutrients of anything that enters the gelli in exchange for a portion of the excess products of the host’s sudden surplus of resources. Their method of benefiting the host, means they are typically unable to help animal hosts, so they usually stick to things that grow from the ground like flowers, fungi, and lollipops. Although in the case of herbivores, gellis can provide more efficient breakdown of foods and nutrilization of and unwanted germs, providing the host with more nutrients from less food in exchange for shelter inside the animal and any unneeded nutrients found in the food. In this light, there could be ‘evil’ parasitic gellis that pose as mutualist gellis only to consume the host or it’s resources. Not a suggestion, just a head canon I thought I’d share 🙂

I think a tropical biome with a exclusive pineapple and/or coconut fruit and water gelli would be really cool!

It would be cool if you added a sparkling water spring that your gelli could drink out of and when your gelli drinks out of it your gelli would blow up like a balloon and it would float to a sky island biome with new items

Yes, and I am so hyped for this game!

Idea we go under ground into different types of cave. A crystal cave with a crystal gelli. A normal cave with a rock gelli. And a mushroom cave with a mushroom gelli. Might be a lot but it would be so cool.

maybe you can add something to randomize the hue of the basic slime to make it more randomized

It would be cool to see a sprinkler to help grow crops faster. Every 10 or 50 levels there can be a boss fight, to beat the boss you have to throw a new item at it. That new item can either be a ninja star, or, a hardened goo. The ninja stars can be bought in the shop. The hardened goo can be goo that was left in the sun for one (in game) day. Goo is what the slime drops every other minute or second.

This is looking great! You might want to add a check if the plant is the player's first plant, then don't drop the variants, because for a new player not getting the item you planted could be confusing

I wonder if a cave biome would be possible, with crops and interactables on the floor and cieling. Perhaps a bat Gelli that could fly up to the top too? Or a spider Gelli that could climb the background walls?

You should have two (or more) difficulties, like chill - relatively easy, a bit of fun, - and a hard mode where it's very easy to lose.
