Probably late to the biome suggestion party, but I have always wanted to see a underwater biome on land. So corral, seaweed trees and squid jelly.

A Hell-ish biome with a fire gelli Please, i think it can look so dope.

I think you should add a cloud biome with leaves made of gold!

Fungi Biome. The Biome is mostly purple because of the mycelium that the Mushrooms made. There are wacky purple trees and bigger than avarege mushrooms everywhere in the biome. The fruit of the biome is Pixie Berries. The Gelli of the world is a little wizard boi.

Tundra/snowy biome with spruce trees and wild berries as fruit. Gelli is a snow gelli. Special idea: Digging in snow for stuff (Berries/stones etc)

Plague biome? It would have a green-ish yellow ground with light mist in the air, and the themed jelly could have 1 or 3 horns! Cause it's mutated, and the trees would be small and dead, as they can't grow with the plague spreading around

a fluffy slime and a whimsical/ enchanted forest would be so cool! the slime would be like a wolf or somthing else.

throwable items - being able to drag around the items and have them fly around the screen would be really fun! i'd imagine this would act the same way as dragging around items and throwing them in People Playground

Maybe if you have a lot of gellies but don't have space for all you gellies or don't want to have to take care of alot of gellies you could add something like a gellie pouch and or a gellie day care. Just a neat little idea I had while watching the video.

Maybe a lake biome with a cute amphibious jelly or something? Could have you harvest some underwater crops that make you refill thirst since you already have hunger

What about a beach biome? There would be tropical trees and crops, and come with a red crab-like slime

biome idea: Frosty Falls A snow covered biome with a frozen lake and waterfall - maybe you could grow ice cubes on Christmas trees?

Awesome video, I love the editing- it's very entertaining to watch! :D Here's a biome idea: a fluffy cloud biome (that's actually made of sugar) where the trees grow marshmallows and there is a gelli that is a bouncy marshmallow fluff ball xD. Maybe there is a bush that grows rainbow candies. Because the biome is full of sugar, you get a boost to movement speed (or some other positive buff) while you are in the sugar fluff biome. I hope you like the idea!

Maybe a mushroom biome, like minecraft, I also think that should be where the mushrooms you made live :D

My idea for a biome would be a cloud city The Jelly could slightly float so it wouldn’t skip when moving The food could be Cotton Candy that would be obtained from clouds How would you reach the clouds you may ask? Haha… idk

Biome idea: ocean Do I have to explain? Its just water,corals and seaweed Also has fish Gelli idea: Swimmeri If you spawn in the ocean you quickly have to get out of water, unless you have Swimmeri! Swimmeri is slow on land,but fast in water,and can breath underwater

undersea biome where everything floats to the top of the screen instead of falling, and there's kelp instead of trees, and little fishes that roam around that you can click on and they'll swim faster or flop around a bit. Also make the jelly have flowy kelp sprouts instead of horns

Biome idea : oil biome. Oil waterfalls could be in the background, you could create oily carrots as food and the slime could be a fire slime or something.

if you want something really wacky but still in line with the game: what about an actual slime biome? for a lack of a better description imagine floor like minecraft slime blocks, trees in this area being honey trees that are actual clusters of dripping honey instead of the leaf blocks, the food plant could be a little rubber tree maybe considering the very drippy theme there's also some water stuff like a pond in the background or a waterfall! the special gelli could be a little honey cube! or something along those lines! this could be a really squishy and colorful environment and i think that would be very neat :> or also a water themed area that looks as if it's underwater! sand floors with a deep sea background, algea and shells on the floor, corals all around maybe a fish gelli with little fins? underwater areas usually have a very chill vibe so this also feels in line with the game feel to me

biomes? frozen biome, with a wooly slime diamond biome, with other precious gems as fruits, and a pearl-y slime. a giant vine, the slime would look like a catterpillar

It would be cool to add present exclusive items so for example, when you level up there is a chance for the present to drop an item that replenishes your friendship points or fills hunger entirely

I was thinking if this biome in space or like that. I know a lot of people had ideas about cloud places, but i think it could be on a floating island, and the gelli's be called stelli's. stelli's could be a clound-like gelli.

For biomes why not a snowy biome just like that snowstorm? the gelli could be fuzzy too!

Make a snowy biome with a white slime with yeti like features. With snow trees , snowfall and a vine that gives grapes. Vines are like apple tree or Rock candy bush. Love the devlog too!!!

You should add a toxic biome-ish thing, just basically a wasteland with toxic waste that could harm your gelli, but it would have good items. basically a risky reward-ish thing.

A cave biome, which has water and a lot of mineral and rocks and mushrooms, there is a more chance to get a minuo , it's bigger and fatter, and he has more hunger

You should add mobs like cows and also hostile ones like salt shaker people that try to dry up your slime

maybe a different set of random gellies depending on the random biome you spawn, so in that rocky biome you would get some rocky looking gellies (a metallic one would be like a rare one), but keeping the classic green gellie in all the biiomes. btw, imo, it looked better when that drop rotated as it was falling, it looked like it had physics

biome ideas: water biome, lava biome, swamp, jungle, snow biome, maybe even something like a ruined city or something anyway, amazing video, can't wait to see more

You should add water. You can get a watering can from a lvl drop to collect water, which speeds up crop growth. Also, lava bucket which is an upgraded water bucket that can collect lava to grow mushrooms.

You can probably add a Candy Biome to match Pastelli? With candy trees/bushes and stuff i guess. Also maybe an Underwater Biome, buuuut it most likely will be too difficult to make because of its unique physics and also breaking logic of presents tied to. y'know, ballons filled with air. Also thinking about weather in game. Like rain and snow. Gellis might get cold or uncomfy because of bad weather so you have to make a home for them! Maybe some types of gellis react differentely to it, actually. But that's just and idea

For the future, if you are doing something like filling in the font, you can add a layer of solid color under it, merge the layers, and then smart select all the color outside the text with w and delete it to save a lot of time

I'm sure someone suggested this but I was thinking a candy themed biome would be cool, the trees could be lollipops. The slime or whatever they're called could be a rainbow slime. Just an idea

you should add a snowy biome, the trees would be pine trees and some of them would be more snowy than the others and the bushes would be regular bushes but darker and they all have a bit of snow on top, the fruits will be plum (grows from trees) and ice-nut (grows from bushes) and finaly, the slime would be white with a blue-ish white face and would be called snowo (its hard to come up with names)

Like a mushroom or a small tree or a rock? -What about a jelly that can hold its breath and swell as it does so, and then starts to float, but has no control over its direction and goes where the wind blows, until it can no longer hold its breath and then fuzzes around like a baloon? You already have a baloon in the game, maybe sometimes its that jelly that acts like the baloon? -What about a very rare/shy type of jelly, a ghost jelly, that watches the player from as far away as possible, and disappears if the player approaches? Maybe there's a secret to it that no one but you will know, like maybe you do a secret quest and you talk to a certain person or you build a certain hidden recipe and then you can return the ghost jelly to life and it says something profound, or maybe it has taken screenshots of you and now shows them to you? -What about a jelly that tells me to stop now?

I liked the look of beating the present open with an apple, might be fun to gave a 'hard' mode where it adds in little quirks like that

Something I think you should add to make it look better in the Rocky Retreat biome is to make the would of the rock trees a sort of teal or turquoise kind of color, it would look fitting for the rocky trees in the biome with trees that look fully rocky

Next time, try the following with the text: 1. Add a 2nd layer, fill it white. 2. Place the font layer on top. 3. Combine / merge both layers. 4. Use the wand tool to select the white colored pixel outside of the letters. 5. Delete the selected part.

Also, I think maybe the fruits could be a little smaller. I know it could be kinda hard to do, Its just that when you compare the sizes, the fruits are almost as big as the slime and the trees. And loving the game!

I think a biome thats a bit more dark/enclosed would be nice. Maybe like an underground dirt themed biome? With mushrooms? Or like a magical forest with tall trees blocking out sunlight, with fairiesss.

heres a big task but itd be cool - random biomes? not random as in predefined biomes in random order, random as in biomes that are randomly generated in of themselves. each biome could have a couple different values: colors (primary and secondary), overgrowth, and style*. the colors would be picked from a pool of sorts, style would be the shapes that the colors fill (like plant shape and outline and etc.) and overgrowth would control the ammount. maybe some other values controlling things like sky color/texture and sound effects. this may not look great, but i thought it was cool as a concept. maybe if that doesnt work out recycle some of the code to create a similar system for the jellies

Ocean biome! A biome completely submerged underwater. Instead of trees, seaweed! What crop would you farm? Fish flakes or something!…? The gelli would look similar to a normal gelli but blue/dark blue with a fin or something like the light an angler fish has on its head, or both. And it don’t like water that is too hot or cold

Awesome video and I'm excited for the game! I would recommend investing a little more time in the backgrounds and making different ones depending on the biome. Probably the single handedly best way to set the scene for an environment. It's really easy to set up parallax background scrolling in Unity too, just set your camera mode to perspective instead of orthographic and change the Z value of background objects.

under water biome and slime that's like a puddle with kelp or some form of sea weed as its horns. PS: the biome should be ether the sea / ocean floor or a lake or a river. there also should be a current that randomly pushes the slime around (like throw them up in the air just a little bit and side to side) you can come up with the rest of the ideas if you want or if you even read the comment.

I myself also work with unity and know for a fact that you can have your UI behind your gameobjects, it’s exactly like layering, just move it on the Z axis

I thinked of challenges in biomes The sea biome, the gelli will walk lower and he will eat seafood, gelli can't breath underwater, that's why there is a special corral which is dropping bubbles that you have to give to your gelli The jungle biome, in this biome, there are bad guys and you will have to protect your gelli with rocks or crafted swords The desert biome, in this biome, less food = more difficult

you should add a desert biome, and maybe a swamp with slimes with leafs on their heads

You should make what crops you can grow to be biome dependant, also maybe different gelli's prefer different food (or spawn with a set favorite)! kinda went off, oops. Would be super cool tho!

Hollow biome basically the terraria hollow biome it’s very colorful and yeah it’s foods are rainbow peaches (from multi color trees each a different color) if I could suggest a jelly it would be a rainbow jelly thing that is like 5 different colors and multiply when the jelly animation is stretched

I loved the physical xp system, if you don't want the player to have to click on, or hover over the xp bits just have them move towards the xp bar and make nice dinging sounds when they get there.
