I Already Failed My Goal...Now What?

It's easy to fall in to the trap of "well I screwed it up already I might as well quit". This is a dangerous mindset that perfection tries to sell us to abandon our goals. When you set your goals, don't let perfectionism come in and try to add new fake goals to the process! And remember, it's better to finish your goal with 80% "perfection" than to never start and never fail and be "perfect".

Great video Tyler! I am more about consistency than anything. Like, I know their is a list of books I would like to finish in the back of my mind. But I know staying consistent is more important. However, I know I am going to have days where it doesn’t happen or can’t happen due to other factors. For example, I knew I was going to be too tired from running errands downtown yesterday by the time I got back but don’t let it derail my progress. Same with Duolingo or language learning in general. Things come up and I have to at least take one day off a month but might change it to two days in the near future depending on my needs.

I've had a lot of red days in February....haha. Been a busy month, but I look to settle back in to a more regular reading schedule here for the rest of the month. We spent a few weeks doing some major decluttering and cleaning that was long overdue.

@@TylerMiller I had a few red days as well lol. I either didn’t feel good or I wanted to finish up the Duolingo skill tree early. I was getting tired of practice lessons. However, as of last night I can say, I have finished Swedish on Duolingo but was disappointed get a “Congratulations!” Or “You did it!” It was more like, “Well, you’re done!” Oh, well I am still happy about it. However, I am planning on getting back onto reading after that 4 day hiatus. I have been reading the’36 Hour Day’ by Nancy Mace. The book is about Dementia and Alzheimer Care. I am reading the books because my grandma has Alzheimer’s and runs in the family. I am nearing the end of the book. I am on the prevention section.
