I definitely relate to the collecting of things that are a loved one's favorite color. I didn't even realize it for a while but I've been slowly collecting things that are purple. Its my best friend's favorite color and having it around makes me feel more comfortable in a world of unfamilarity.

I love this so much, and I resonate with it entirely. I always thought that it was a bit odd that I still did certain things or remembered the way a past lover did something that still makes me smile...but thinking about how everyone who's ever crossed my path in this lifetime, is a beautiful part of me, is just so awesome ❤

nietzsche had a philosphy called 'amor phati' and it means to choose to love life even after all that we go through, and maybe this is what he meant (a little bit pretentious i know) but i agree! i feel like a scrapbook of things i learn from other people and it feels lovely 💛

the way i see it, we're all just a big canvas/mosaic and we all have our own unique pieces but also a lot of space for pieces that we will later add, those being the ones we get from others. We trade and give part of ourselves to others and vice versa. In the end its all about balance, never lose yourself
