Honda already pissed in their pants after looking at the success of Jupiter. It was the only scooter that gave a tough time to the activa. Now Ntorq has launched. It is actually good. Our own brands are producing such an awesome vehicles. Really proud of them.

People will continue to buy Activa, solely for the legacy. It's a tried & tested product. Don't see Activa sales declining anytime soon, infact even if Honda just launched a new graphic or some anniversary edition with bling people will rush to buy.

@Tufail Ashraf- I disagree. The japanese are master engineers. They have ample facilities and experience in manufacturing in India. If they want, they can manufacture mid-segment bikes at lower costs. They see that Indian mid-segment is not huge, profit margin is not as astronomically high as in the western market, they don't have any reason to give a fuck!!! Indian manufactures are loved by Indians. This is almost all they got. They give this market their 100%. If you look at how active and innovative and fierce the japanese companies are in the japanese market, you'll understand that they just do not care enough for the sentiments or aspirations of much less wealthy indian consumers.

@MP 95 Sony is the best example. They don't seem to adapt to the Indian market well. Living in their own imaginative world. I was a huge Sony fan once upon a time, they turned out to be a huge disappointment, in fact my first ever smart phone was a puny 12" display, 1gb RAM, 11 GB storage, with 8Mp rear cam and 3Mp front cam, 2000 mAh, Sony xperia which was priced @ INR 12999. They are selling even costlier mobiles with worse features now. 🤦‍♂️ so stupid..

Tvs Ntorq is a pure innovation. Its has features that are first time seen on a scooter. Features like connectx console with Bluetooth pairing is mind blowing. Tvs has really nailed it.

They even gave a engine kill swith in the Ntorq, and guess what?? Honda hornet 160R doesn't have kill switch. Even the new version they launched in the auto expo doesn't have Engine kill switch 😂😂😂😂

Now I don't want to hear about the missing USD forks. That would have made it financially uncompetitive. Only negative I can think of is the missing ABS (at least as an option?)

AV 747-8 Surely Yamaha cannot compete with Bajaj or TVS in the value for money department but good products cost more money. What Yamaha offers for that 20-30K premium over a Bajaj or TVS bike is bulletproof reliability, technology born out of 63 years of R&D(since 1955), top notch build quality and a premium brand value. The Pulsars and Apaches may be value for money but in no way is the R15 overpriced.

Will sell the activa too for tvs ntorq maybe. And for the Hornet I don't understand why they put such a hard rear suspension on a commuter bike. I test rode gixxer with dad and the ride was so plush The suspension actually was working 😂

Ankit Dhasmana though Honda have launched Offroad Bikes in Nepal, they are really overpriced. XR 150 ( Nrs 3.50 lakhs, XR190 (Nrs 5.5 lakhs) , CRF 250 Nrs 11 lakhs) , Afrika Twin ( 22 lakhs ). I hope honda bites dust after Hero lunches Xpulse 200 here .

Mukul shah Yes prices are very high there, and still people buy paying hefty prices. I have read somewhere its because of heavy import duties. But still Honda sells there but not in India. I am waiting for Xpulse, i am going to buy it, i don't know when its going to launch, there is no confirmation. I am waiting for it..
