I remember in another video Stan asked Addison about adopting Isabell and he said "Would she be better blind in our home, or blind in the orphanage." That brought tears to my eyes

I still can’t believe that Izzy is walking . And she’s now walking with confidence . I still remember the video when you guys went to pick her up in China . It’s just incredible

I love that you’ve instilled in your biological children to love and care for people , especially people with special needs . Yet that doesn’t mean that they can’t enjoy their own lives. They are well adjusted as you talked to them about how they felt throughout the different stages of when your adopted children were new in the family . Also your male children see Stan a big strong police officer crying and emotional regarding his adopted children ( eg when you guys picked up Izzy from China , and when she had her dental appointment ! ). That makes male children emotionally very strong imo. You’ve moulded all your children to be independent and strong . You and Stan are amazing parents ! You are everything a mother should be . The children are blessed to have you as their mother . ❤

Praying that beautiful little girl gets to go home to her family!

We have a special needs daughter she is now 32, She has cerebral Palsy, when she was in junior ,senior and up probably until grade 5 or 6 she would have a daily helper to sit with her just to keep her company during classes , all the kids wanted to do it so they made a schedule so they all would get a turn, her classmates were amazing with her. She has now moved in to a Ongwanada group home for young adults with special needs , there are 5 clients in the home , she lives about 20 min from us, we see her weekly for dinner and she is so happy there ,she goes to programs 5 days a week and swimming ,concerts etc... she is in a wheel chair and can talk, she is very bright , she can do most things for her self except for her daily grooming and bathing and a few other minor things. She is the light of our lives and we thank god everyday that we were picked to be her parents.

I’ll be praying. You are with God’s help a miracle worker.

Ashley, don't be so hard on yourself about the way you're thinking. Try to remember, God is in control he will watch over Lilly Grace until the timing is right to bring her home. Just keep Praying. And the wait won't be so unbearable. I'm Praying with you. Keep smiling that beautiful smile. Do you know what the word FAITH stands for, Forsaking, All, l, Trust, Him. Just try to remember that and hopefully it will male the waiting much easier.

Ashley, now that I'm grown l realize when l was young l was bullied. It just wasn't labeled as bullying back then. I wish l had the advice that you're giving people today. I didn't have anyone to give me advice except my Mom. She passed away in 2019.

As a Special Education teacher, education is key, there are great books and one of my favorite things to do is invite my students general education peers and saying hi or letting them read a story or playing games with them such as Legos or play dough. Along with being their helping buddy. My continued prayers for you two adoptions and to bringing them home.

Is it possible you can complete the paperwork they require faster and send it in. As she is not going to be selected if you are not on their radar. It is so sad , l have watched you and your family from day dot how developmentally Izzy and Mika have come along . Your an amazing beautiful mum and dad to all your children and grandchildren. I have a couple of small questions. First, how are things moving with your Bulgaria adoption? Also, have you tried tube fidget toys for Izzy? Like the ones where you can pull and push them to make sounds? It seems like something she may like, and be good practice with her motor skills. Or those shaped plastic ice cubes since she likes playing with ice?

I enjoyed this video so much. I wish I would of got in on the questions on Instagram. I do have some questions. How are things coming along on the adoption from the other country? If the adoption falls through on Lilly Grace, do they allow the money to go toward another child, or do they reimburse you? When Mika, is going into a new environment like youth group. Do you make the other children aware that she is non-verbal, or just let them find out on their own? I also want to express what a wonderful job you, Stan, and the children have done by just making Mika, and Izzy, a normal part of the family. You don't make a big deal out of their disabilities. You treat them like the other children without a lot of limitations. You have instilled confidence instead of fear. I don't personally know you, but I love all of you. Your light shines. Is there an update about your other adoption in Bulgaria?

I have the same question regarding Mika. Have you appointed a god parent or someone take Mika in the event that you and Stan pass away or just not able to care for her due to your ages?

Ashley you should use the word spark not evoke. Especially with children..Don't give up hope, your daughter will be coming home soon. I feel like you need to be more aggressive towards this adoption. Get your steps done here and pressure them to give them your daughter.
