If she didn’t have hearing, she would know her family loved her by the care and affection, and she could gain language through tactile sign language. Deafness isn’t the end of knowing love. 🤟🏼

There is something quite moving in seeing a big ol' burly cop reduced to a puddle of tears. It was so very moving to see his response to Izzy on the day that she was placed into your loving care. As a mother, I would expect that from a mother, but to see that kind of emotion and response from a father was truly moving. It is so beautiful to see how far Izzy has come since she has joined your family. Words alone cannot explain the depths of what your family has so selflessly given to precious little Izzy and I know without a doubt that in return she too has given back in her own special way to all of you. Love is an amazing thing, as it is so very healing and comforting to those that can open their hearts to it. You have opened Izzy's heart and in return she has opened your hearts in ways that you never dreamed possible. This is such a beautiful story of love and hope and I thank you for sharing it with the rest of us. Sending much love and an abundance of beautiful blessings to all of you on this amazing and wonderful journey. God is great!! 💖

Hi, I do not know if you read any of the comments but here I am. First of all thank you for being an amazing family to that beautiful girl! Her story really touched me. I wanted to say that I am a therapist and I work with autistic children who have many sensory issues. Even though Isabelle seems to have it figured out with the side ways pacifier, there are actually chew toys for children with sensory issues which can be linked to a chain like Isabelle's pacifier or even be worn around wrists like where she was biting. You can find them online, even on Amazon I believe. In addition, giving light squeezes to her arms, hands, shoulders, legs and feet will probably feel relaxing to her. Many autistic children walk on their tip toes, mostly for that extra stimulation of sensory; to focus all the weight on the toes to have more stimulation. The way Isabelle choses to sit down (her feet up and only a small part of her bottom touching the seat) mimics that same beahviour; to have all the force on a small area. You could apply some pressure to her legs (squeezes or maybe wrist bands around her legs?) to redirect the focus of the stimulation to get her to sit properly. Either way, she is so lucky to have you as her family and God bless you all!

You are all doing such a fantastic job with Isabelle, it's not easy and all credit goes to you. You are the ones doing all the work allowing each small 'miracle' to unfold. I have worked with many blind people (chairman of blind sports club), and Isabelle displays typical behaviour of people blind from birth. Rocking to and fro, flailing arms around and hitting herself on the feet etc, are ways of her making sense of her surroundings. Congratulations.

What kind of wonderful human beings are these people!! I am weeping as I watch both the first video and now this one. Not just one child with challenges, but two! God bless this family mightily, I feel that whatever I say isn’t adequate to show how much admiration and respect I have for this couple. Brave, compassionate, generous, kind, loving, sacrificial. My gosh. This child has blossomed into the size of a 6 year old. When you first introduced her to us, I thought she was maybe 2 or 3 based on her size but I noticed she had bigger teeth so I figured she was older than what I thought. It makes me smile to see how excited she is for the water. I also noticed how surrounded she is with love. Would you mind adopting a grown woman ? :) I am so glad that you all choose to share your family with us and the challenges you may face with Isabelle. It must be such a joy to see her overcome obstacles. Thank you for giving her hope and life. You guys are a beautiful couple (literally).

She clearly has a sign (the head loop)for what she meant. she's leaps and bounds from the floppy unresponsive little baby she was.. Amazing amount of progress, she will be who she will be is the best expectation. So wonderful that you two were entrusted with the privilege of caring for and learning from such a special soul.

coming from my perspective as a person with a disability who was adopted ( i am 35 now and was adopted when i was 1 years old) .... i really want to thank you for loving your little Isabelle right where she was at as you put it not to fix her but wanting her to be the "best Isabelle that she can be" that is such a wonderful and refreshing way of thinking and it really stood out because so many people in society think that we with disabilities need "fixing" and all we really need is just to be loved where we are at.. just like every single person on this earth. I’ve recently found your KZfaq channel and have been following your adoption stories. I am blown away with your incredible strength and love that you show each and every one of your children. There is something really special about Isabelle and the connection you have with her is one to be admired. My husband and I have two biological children of our own, and we often talk about adoption and whether or not we could add a child to our family through adoption . This story has really really touched my heart and inspired me to perhaps look further into adoption. It scares me, I won’t lie. But I think it’s more scary to know that without adoption, these children will never experience unconditional love. Thank you for sharing your story and I wish you and your family all the very best in the future. Sending love from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

I didn't want this video to end. You two are amazing people. I am so happy God led you to this little girl. She would have died in that orphanage. When I watched the first video I was so shocked when you said she was 19 pounds at 5.5 years old and how she was treated in that orphanage is horrible. It is so refreshing to hear her laugh and see all the progress she has made since you brought her home. When you first held her she didn't know how to respond becauas she wasn't use to it. I am so happy for your family and to see her progress. I am going to keep following your journey. God bless.
