@@pedropierre9594 Chelsea and City don't outspend the likes of United and when they do it isn't by much. That's why they can somewhat get away with it. The league doesn't step in because united don't feel like they are in a position to fully throw their toys out of the pram. If Newcastle start spending to a point that united can't financially compete then they will start complaining about it. That forces the PL to intervene cause once the naturally richest club in the league starts complaining then everyone else and the fans follow suit and the PL is looking at a superleague level backlash from the footballing community. That's why Newcastle will only spend around the same amount as city, United and Chelsea cause they know they can't push it much further without major backlash

Don’t be worried about what they will spend, worry about whether they will put the debt onto the club. The problem with selling a club to another Billionaire is it will confine another dozen clubs to mundane football due to the further increases in the good players prices dragging the market up further, in a few years time a player in demand will easily be asking for £200 million and a million a week, this is the stuff of oligarchs and Saudi princes, it will of course ruin the game further.

They're just gonna buy the league now, this is a dark day for English football, teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United didn't achieve their success this way, and it's not fair that teams like Chelsea and Manchester City have bought success that the other teams have worked for, clubs built by smart hard working men. I think there needs to be wage caps for footballers, so Newcastle can't just pay future players 500k a week. It's really not fair, shame on the Premier League, like I say I've been a Liverpool fan for 17 years, now I'm gonna bring myself away from football as it's no longer about philosophy, just oil money. someone has forgotten about FFP. City and PSG could suddenly have huge success because they got bought when FFP was shaky and/or hadn’t even been implemented yet. Nowadays clubs can only spend what they earn. Newcastle will presumably get a new fat sponsorship deal with Aramco or something, but after that, what can they do? All that happens now is they either cheat and get caught in a few years time, or they start spending modestly, slowly working up to the heights of City and PSG. But after City and PSG, it will be incredibly obvious if they cheat, and they will not get away with it
