Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to encourage congregational 4-part harmony singing. I record and mix these in such a way to help the listener hear parts more clearly. I urge you to listen with earbuds/headphones or true stereo speakers. Laptop and phone speakers are not only garbage for critical listening, they provide no sense of stereo which can be helpful while listening to these. Alto is slightly towards the left ear/channel and tenor is towards the right ear/channel. Soprano and bass are right down the middle.
If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.

Good morning! I didn't know who Stacey Abrams was until I just looked her up. 😄 Good or bad, I have no control over what advertisements are on the channel. KZfaq's/Google's ad system is built off of algorithms. The people buying the ad time pick the countries, states, days, times, and the age ranges they want to show ads to. They also provide the maximum they're willing to pay per ad. Sometimes the ad system will pair ads with people they think will enjoy the ad. But if the ads pay enough money, Google/KZfaq will show it to anyone within the target demographic. Hope that makes sense! And feel free to reach out any time. ( :

I will pray for your praise ministry and the brethren gathered here, beloved Saint. Jesus sang praises with His disciples at His last supper before He was crucified. Matt. chapter 26:verses 26-30; Psalms 113-118. ***There is a Crown in Heaven awaiting all who faithfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a soul is saved. ( "THE GOSPEL SAVES" below) 1 Thessalonians chapter 2:verse 19-20; Philippians chapter 4:verse 1. So too be Rapture ready to meet Jesus Christ in the air. "Maranatha!" meaning "HE COMES". Mark chapter 13: verses 33-37. The Apostles and saints greeted one another that way! Proofs:John chapter 14: verse 1-3; Titus chapter 2:verses 11 -14; Rev.chapter 3:verse 10; 1 Thessalonians chapter 5:verse 9. Hebrews chapter 9:verse 22 BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED Ephesians chapter 2:verse 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting in His death and in the shedding of His blood as payment for our sins, as well as in His resurrection from the dead, and we will be saved! John chapter 20: verses 24-31 WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH Romans 10: 9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes in righteousness; And a confession by mouth is given for salvation. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John chapter 3: verse 16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation chapter 21: verse 8. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ”Romans chapter 5:verse 1

I am not sure who wrote it or when it was written. All I know is that it is in an old song book and that it would have a lot of meaning to anyone that has lost their mother

@@markmartin3305 - When you find it in that song book again, let me know what it says. It's sometimes difficult to do copyrighted hymns (written 1925 and newer) which is why I ask. Any song book within the last 75 years can have copyrighted songs in it.

This is a rubbish song. It is sung by people who are already saved, so why sing "I will hasten to him"? This particular quartet has a very dull sound. The corny "music hall" lick at 0:26 is terrible. We used to sing this song in our Church, and my kids used to go "dah-de-da-da-da-da" at that point and everyone broke out laughing. Affer that, we abandoned the tune.

Is it *only* sung by people that are already saved? No. There are likely many in the congregation that sing it that are not yet saved. If your kids have little respect for a hymn or for worship, then that is their fault, not necessarily the hymn's. I appreciate your feedback on this "quartet". I'll be sure to let the rest of the "guys" know. 😉

Hi Tommy, Back in the 1800's people wrote hymns like this. Regarding the quartet, it sounds like one man is singing dubbed over his singing. I can attest to one thing - people who are already save need to hasten to him again and again. The world entices the Christian to go back to their old ways...all the more reason we need to return to Him and rest in His presence.

This is a rubbish complaint. Once you are saved, you are justified, but still sinning. We continue to be sanctified in our life and continually become more Christlike, but never sinless. So we must hasten to Christ to run from sin. You either run to Christ or to sin.
