What you said about your flaws being a flip side of your strengths is very similar to Aristotle's philosophy. It's called the Golden Mean, basically there is a characteristic, and then there is the "excess" of it and the "deficiency" of it. Just as how courage can either be extreme, in other words recklessness, or the opposite of extreme, cowardice. And all you need to do is find a place in the middle of all that to be able to achieve the best of a virtue.

If we think of it, the flaws we have are what makes us unique as a person. If we would all have the "middle ground", we would all be the same. Wich doesn't mean that we shouldn't work on our flaws, we sure do. But let us appreciate them, and not hate them. Without them you wouldn't be you^^

@liliakarapetyan7892
@liliakarapetyan7892 5 жыл бұрын
@@LAdiartos Betterhelp (to be precise I won't generalize, but this can prob. be applied to other apps, as well) is a scam--their terms of use say that the app isn't responsible for checking the qualifications of its 'therapists.' in other words, people without a degree or any knowledge of mental health are passing themselves off as therapists. In addition, they can't diagnose and are not held responsible by the app for missing sessions, giving false information, or just never showing up. It's honestly dangerous for people with fragile mental health to depend on that app.

The problem with asking others about your own flaws is that their flaws might get in the way. You could be perceived to be one way by one person but that is because something in their life caused their view of people like yourself to be that way. too many variables, stay in a dark cave and ignore the world. Its safer

Something similar and really cool happened to me a few weeks ago. I was meeting these friends I kind of lost touch with again. I mean I see them in school every day, but I spend less and less time with them, and when I do, we don't really have those deep conversations. So anyway, we had a sleepover at ones house. We were playing truth or dare, and my friend asked about something another friend had said about her. Because she wanted to know if that was a flaw of her, and if she should change that. Then we kind of started doing this in a row. Everyone would say what they think are the biggest flaws of everyone. It was just really cool and interesting, seeing yourself from an outside perspective. We talked for hours, and we just all had this kind of connection, you know. It was beautiful. And honestly, I'm so thankful for this day^^

I think you care too much about how others see you. I used to be like you....and recently I found myself. When I did that and quit caring so much about what everyone else thought of me, I became much happier and have better relationships.

Lack of emotion, empathy, conscience, and antisocial traits don't make a person despicable. It's your actions and words that reflect your character, and people with antisocial personality disorder can get help and learn how to function within society (without killing people).

Is white not a colour anymore? It's really odd to hear 'person of colour' just to separate anyone and everyone from white people. Minus greeks, italians, Portuguese and people from spain. Even if you were born with tanned skin. You're still considered white l o l

it was white people who first called poc “people of color” or “colored”...

Although American activist Martin Luther King Jr. used the term "citizens of color" in 1963, the phrase in its current meaning did not catch on until the late 1970s.[8][9] In the late 20th century, the term "person of color" was introduced in the United States in order to counter the condescension implied by the terms "non-white" and "minority",[10] and racial justice activists in the U.S., influenced by radical theorists such as Frantz Fanon, popularized it at this time.[11] By the late 1980s and early 1990s, it was in wide circulation.[11] .... Didn't know MLK was white. What other fake news do you got for me?

KKardi The American Heritage Guide to Contemporary Usage and Style cites usage of "people of colour" as far back as 1796. It was initially used to refer to light-skinned people of mixed African and European heritage.[4] French colonists used the term gens de couleur ("people of color") to refer to people of mixed African and European descent who were freed from slavery in the Americas.[6] i can copy paste from wikipedia too

I know a lot of KZfaqrs are making 10+ minutes videos now (bc longer videos tend to be favored) but I love that you still make short ones! You’re always clear and concise with your content, rather than dragging out whatever the topic is in order to meet some time criteria. Love your channel ♥️
