I beat Persona 4 Golden for the first time (ending reactions)

Hey! If you're reading this you might be curious as to why I privated my second Persona 4 video and skipped right to the ending. To be quite honest, I was going through a very difficult time mentally in my personal life during this playthrough. I have very bad anxiety, and I was suffering from frequent panic attacks. Because of this, I lacked energy to edit and do simple tasks I can normally handle. I missed highlighting one or two of the past broadcasts on Twitch for this playthrough which left me feeling even more discouraged to continue the series. I thought it would be strange to only have a part 1 and part 2 and then skip to the ending, so I would prefer to just not have the second video at all. I hope you can understand. I've been feeling a lot better, and I had so much fun editing this. I really hope you enjoy it! ^_^

I played this right after I graduated high school. Was definitely a good time. The best thing about persona 4 in particular is that the canonical story doesn't end with persona 4, wanna there's absolutely any flavor of spinoff that you can enjoy

it doesn't go away lol. i played the original version back in like 2008 (?) when it first came out and a bunch since. i still get the feeling whenever p4 comes up, like from a video like this or even if i just see my copies of it on the shelf

I always forget until I see that group picture, but Kanji is an absolute UNIT. Dude has damn near a whole head of height on the 2nd tallest one in the group and he's almost wide enough to cover half the entire background.

For people who still want that fill of persona 4 after finishing a playthrough, I can't reccomend the anime enough. It's one of the few game adaptions that really stands on its own, it turns Yu (your main character) into an actual character and has him choose most of the amusing dialogue options. They also do a great job at adapting the fights and adding their own flair.

Same. My first time playing I got the "lesser" bad ending (Nanako survives but is permanently hospitalized) simply because I didn't yell at Yosuke to shut up. XD

The alternate ending where he hears everyone's voices and then kicks the enemy's ass reminded me of the ending of The Rise of Skywalker when Rey heard the Jedi's voices and then killed Palpatine.

I love games that make you cry, I bawled with this one and it was so hard to say goodbye, it's like they were my friends too. Persona games have been so incredible I just can't see how 6 will top that, and that excites me as well. I love your playthroughs because you act with your heart, it's sad we can't see your whole journey, but at least I can watch your XC2 videos now and that makes me so happy.

Taking care of yourself is more important - we do appreciate the transparency and openness. I love watching ppl experience any of the persona series, and I still get just as emotional just watching the endings as I did when I experienced them for myself. So thanks for this! Edit: I love your commenting on the music. The persona series definitely has some of my favorite music, they did an outstanding job on the OST's.

Perhaps its the same with other Persona games but my first time with P4G and P5 i was the same as you.You genuinely feel like part of the world and that you are saying good bye, both the MC and player take one last look and then you leave. I especially like the times where characters say "Come back and see us again" as it's multi-layered, its the character saying it to the MC but it's Atlas devs saying it to the player too. I am slowly making my way through SMT and Persona games i missed and its fast become one of my top JRPGs, so much so i even played the rhythm games (which is usually not my thing) I always feel a bit sad and empty by the end of a big game but i kinda have a thing where i say "Onwards to the next adventure" to psyche myself up. So, Sarah, Onwards to *your* next adventure.

I wish I could go live in that town, I miss the characters as if they were my friends, it's heartbreaking to see the train scene, why can't he stay and live there forever and be happy with his friends?. I love Persona 4 so much!!, I can't explain the feeling of nostalgia and "I wish I lived that", not the horrible parts, I mean the "going to a small town and make a group of friends" thing.

God I really love this game. Ever since I played it in my vita, I knew this was gonna be my Favorite Game of all time, and still is. The Investigation Team will forever be the best ensemble for me. congratulations on beating persona 4. its gotta be my all time favorite game. what i love about the game is that is incredibly honest. I don't agree with everything in the game. but I think everything is done with heartfelt intentions and it really shines through. it has the best video game dialogue of any video game even kingdom hearts. I still hold a soft spot for kingdom hearts 1 though. that ending movie sequence in kingdom hearts 1 on the original ps2 makes me cry everytime.

Since 2014 I wanted to play persona 4 golden sadly it’s vita exclusive and it’s hard to get on in my country Luckily with game released in steam my wish came true and it was one of the best moments in my life

I am sorry to hear about your situation Sarah, I hope you are doing better now. Otherwise, perhaps Healthy Gamer (Dr. K.) could help you out, he already helped multiple other streamers, so he could at least put you on the right path given your situation. Also, if you are itching for other jrpgs, give the "Tales of" series a try, would love to see that on your channel and your reaction to them. If you need a starting point, perhaps Berseria, Vesperia or Symphonia would be a good start, as they are easily accessible. Keep up the good work!

fun fact: all the stuff with marie is exlcusive to golden, in the original version all we got was the stuff with adachi and Izanami also: Izanagi (your first persona) and Izanami (the final boss) are from japanese myth. they were creator gods who helped create the world and other gods, and then Izanami died. Izanagi went to hell to find her, but found that due to being a dead spirit she looked hideous, and so he fled and abandoned her. In ehr rage Izanmi vowed to kill a hundred humans a day, and izanagi vowed he'd create a thousand people in response

"Namatames true feelings" I hated that we HAD choose that one answer just to get the good ending but it makes sense thats why they do give you the option to save beforehand as this final part has dramatic story changes as after you say his true feelings it gives you one more option to tell everyone to calm the hell down and they respect you for keeping calm and rational but I really wish that didn't matter to get the good ending despite saying all this i loved this game to bits and its my favorite of the series personally well the persona series at least not shin megami tensei

It's been a while since I've seen this series. Now that I'm watching this, Adachi's voice reminds me of Hajime Hinata from Danganronpa 2. A bit traumatized that these two share the same voice actor. Shoutouts to Danganronpa fans if they caught on

See the thing is izanami gave their power a little push meaning that use power originally was his own if not given to him by the butterfly

I highly recommend checking out persona 1 and 2 (and the second persona 2), as they're harder to find and less popular compared to 3, 4 and 5. THey have a bit of a darker plot to them (yes, comapred to the game about a murder mystery) so that may be an issue I dunno.
