So lets elaborate why this is very dangerous. Someone assumes that this is a genuine Apple device. They then actually expect the "ECG" feature to work as Apple advertises theirs to. Maybe they have a heart attack but don't do anything because their results look fine. This is a stretch but the people buying this are more gullible and likely have less money to spend, especially in the US with medical expenses being insane. They may trust the "Apple Watches" features and try to save some money.

Marketing and psychology. Hell, uDemy (which actually DOES have good products) does this with their courses. While they are usually $350, they go on sale almost every 2 months for around $19 because it makes people jump on it thinking it's a great can't pass it up deal when really it's on sale so much it's the defacto normal price.

Agreed. If it can be killed with water then i wouldn't say "EXTREMELY Dangerous". If it monitors your location then it is "sketchy" at best. But if the smartwatch heated up exponentially or had a manufacturing defect that can lead to it exploding or something, then that would merit an over exaggerated title.

Daisuke Young cheap as in about 100 bux cheap you were right on bruh!! i ended up getting fitbit i think its called a versa2 It gives me my heart rate an sleeping pattern with how long you were sleeping in a rem cycle an how long you were light sleeping an how long you were awake if u woke up for any amount of time during your sleep , i like it ,im sure there are alot others that probably have awsome features too .thanks man have an awsome day

I know from one cheap smart watch some features only work with Android. GPS would be from the phone, as would the step counter. Maybe the heart rate thing is picking up electrical noise?

I have one of these, they're pretty OK for the price (17$). You can see your calls and messages wich is really handy, I do not believe the hearthrate stuff because they aren't right at all.. I blocked all data sending and recieving from the "wearfit app" because im still sceptical. Also the screen brightness isn't really good outside. But for the price its decent.

That's how most capacitive touchscreens react to water, so it's not really a good indication of a fake/garbage product on the other hand, if it claims that it's waterproof when it isn't, then it's a scam/misleading advertising

14 minutes in, the water isn't messing up the watch, it is just triggering the capacitive touch screen, that's why it was switching watch faces and other stuff, that doesn't mean that water has damaged it, it just means that the watch thinks you are touching the screen.

@@melaniecutes yeah sure man , do you already have a capable desktop ? If so, what type of power supply do you have? At that price point I would recommend maybe a rtx 2060 super on the Nvidia side or maybe a rx5700 reference from AMD but you have to make sure that you have good case cooling.

@@melaniecutes well that might not work for you , go into device manager and check what cpu you have . This will show you exactly what you have and what you can upgrade to . A 450 watt power supply is not very good so I would recommend getting something like a 1660 super at the absolute maximum if your power supply isn't name brand.

your an awesome guy :D can you do an autopsy on the watch to see whats in it. if got a couple of phones that ppl gave me that was dropped in water. well when i get then its either months or years when it happened so i plug a charger to them and wait a couple of minutes and bam. it magically turns on and is fully operational. maybe put it rice to dry it out or maybe the dryer if itll withstand heat. hugs love bee safe :)

Although fake, at least the watch face worked. Honestly doesn't seem that bad. These scams out of the east sure do get elaborate don't they. The lengths they go to get some cash are quite fascinating. One day though hopefully sellers will have to be transparent with the buyers all over the world, regardless of what a countries laws are. There should be international trade laws that cover consumer protection from misleading product distributors. Sort of like what we have in North America.

Have a watch made by "Yamay" or some such thing. eBay for sub par $23 bucks. It's the only one that actually can report a somewhat accurate O2 and heart rate monitor. It's supposed to also do blood pressure- But this is always a gimmick for smart watches. Omron makes a watch that does blood pressure- And it has a mini 'cuff' that inflates and takes a moderate accurate reading. My cardiologist is dead set against anything 'wrist cuff' related, as she won't accept the electronic cuffs being 100% accurate. The nurse takes it using the electronic arm cuff- It always reads 'higher'. The doctor takes it herself with a manual cuff, and she stated it's more accurate that way. With my irregular heartbeat that I've had sense the heart attack- She can more 'hear' the nuances that my ol' ticker puts out. The Yamay smart watch can get it decent with the O2 and heart rate- And that's all I use it for.

It won't electrocute you and I don't even think you pressed the power button fully when it was under water. And your test of setting it on the table to see if the heart rate sensor is fake, is not accurate, you take the heart rate and look at the bottom, if there is a flashing green light and a sensor at the bottom, it's real. Just because there is no arm under it, doesn't mean it won't try to take a heartrate, it just means it won't be a real value.

Is this the one with the simple Java-based firmware? I think I have a similar one... it's not all that bad, if you don't expect Apple Watch quality and features from it. Although it messed up the filesystem on my music SD card, by putting non-FAT compatible characters in some config files it created on it... I have a Lemfo Android smartwatch as well, which would be quite okay, but the battery life is just abysmal... especially if you wanna actually use it for something.
