I came across another CUSTOM Xbox Series S on eBay... and man I like buying these things! This custom Xbox is pretty cool, but I'm not so sure it's worth the $600 price tag, what do you think? You over paid. The lights on the controller you can buy for $30-$35 bucks The led usb cable $5 bucks. So I would say you over paid by $200 bucks.

Nicest one so far , but I agree with everyone else that $600 is way too much . Not big on the Ravebox name or font , I see where they were coming from though . It would've been nice if they put some plexiglass behind the Ravebox lettering so it doesn't have open holes in the front for kids to stick stuff in . The controller is the real star , looks very nice .

I woulsnt pay anything more then half its retail value. There isnt anything cool about it or professional. Its honestly just cringy looking and seems like a 14yr old drilled holes in his xbox and put a set of $5Bellow LED's in it. By no means does this count as a modded console 🤣

There are many more ways to make a custom console, this is clearly the "my friend can do it cheaper" option. Something with a nice very custom paint job (perhaps airbrushing then sealed under clearcoat) would be nice. More tasteful application of leds wouldn't hurt either. Carving up a console with a dremel is not customizing... It's Butchery.

I think it would be far nicer to simply just have it spray painted black, the custom USB cable and also the new extreme rate RGB mod that's coming out that goes just under the vent that's on top of the console .

little pro tip to anyone painting in a rush, bake it in the oven on the lowest temp it can go for short runs depending on what material your paint is going on. a few seconds at a time with plastic or use a heat gun from a good distance away. heat help harden the paint and makes it cure faster. they literally bake cars after they've been painted, you can do this with anything depending on the material your painting on.

Perhaps if the sellers put a bit of cardboard between the bubble wrap and the console it could solve the bubble wrap issue? The painted surfaces of the console would be protected and wouldn't touch the bubble wrap at all. Just a thought.

Yeah. When I re-sold the other one that had the bubble wrap issue, I put a piece of packaging paper between the console and the bubble wrap and that seemed to help

thats what happens when u use cheap spray paint. powder coating and proper sanding and primer is necessary

The reason that the bubble wrap imprints on the paint is because they didn't use proper painting techniques. They most likely didn't use enough lacquer which creates a hard clear coating that protects the paint. That or they didn't leave it to dry properly or both lol

I have a beautiful custom xbox series s going up for sale on ebay within the next few days. Has integrated RGB connected via USB-A to USB-A and has a tear effect paint job with plexi glass front and top cut out with super clean rgb install. Still have to paint box, controller and head set. Putting up for 850 reserve. Love yall.

Honestly the .2 seconds you save using the quick connector is kind of negated by the specialty cable lol, that would be annoying, id prefer usb-c. Good video

i dont think it was drilled, i think they has a heat tool and put a little metal pipe on the end. they clearly used a heat tool to do the lettering.

You know what!? Ima mod my series x and I won't have a wire sticking out for the leds! I'll try to integrate everything inside it. My idea would be to have light come out the vents and integrate some speakers inside and maybe integrate a touchscreen oled display on the side of it, and ima go and source the parts I need bye! Wonder why people don't use 12v RGB lighting and tap into d 12v lines on d system it self . So everything is self contained, no wires running outside to power the RGB

@@danieladams5379 yep i did that with the console he bought, the purple/blue chameleon paint one. Takes work to make it neat in such a small space so most people dont wana do it but yet charge too much and do a whack job. Atleast mine had time and effort into it

Ayo the Series S actually looks nice in black. Wish they went with black instead of the white tbh, it looks so out of place in my room since my rooms a mix of red and black stuff. PS5 included with red side plates

I was gonna say pretty much the same - with something along the lines of 'The holes are there for extra airflow/cooling'. (LOL). (I'd think that they will be probably clogging up the console before too long, though, as they'll surely suck the dust in more? So will the lettering, possibly?)

if this is true, then you don't need the space in your room for the series x. My friend has series X and he couldn't find a place to put it. If you get the same performance like that it would take up less space. (also my friend bought a new table for his console coz its thicc.)

The controller and cable are cool. The xbox, don't really care for the holes. Me, I keep mine in my tv stand with front door closed so it's not even visible. Way overpriced for something that voided your warranty.

I don't think I'd buy that for a few reasons: 1. If it blows up on you your pretty much screwed where if its an official Xbox you could call Microsoft 2. The lights flashing would give me a headache and it would be annoying to try to say make a tough jump on crash bandicoot and see that out of your side vision. 3. The holes just look cheap. A real Xbox with holes in the top would be super sketchy. 4. The controllers look fragile. I do like the color I'll say that. The logo is nice too.

Pretty ameture job for a custom console . Even the LED positioning inside made me cringe. I would not pay anything for this kind of work and just keep my console the same. 4/10 for me.
