What a great looking, great sounding car. That V8 burble is still intoxicating. You've done a brilliant job restoring her.

Whilst being like a kid at Christmas to see Lucas again I am a little worried about his initial attitude, almost as if he loathed being back on Camera which is a shame as he has such a magnetic personality, luckily he got better as the car got going and the old banter returned. Another superb video that can be watched many times, great to hear enthusiasm in your voice coming back and wonderful to see that Lucas is still Lucas. Please give him my regards.Well done Sheldon.

'S' car Go! Haa 😂. Lucas is silver trail blazer! The Rover is so smooth and refined, virtually silent, even doing 80mph it's still subdued. Great work Sheldon with your vaping compadre! 👍

I live in Old Tupton, nr Clay Cross, Chesterfield. And at the bottom of our road on Ankerold Road there's Ankerbold classics where they rebuild P 6's etc. Now im not advertising their work but they seem to have some beautiful old cars outside. They also.have a repolstery section, not sure if they're the same business or not. If anyonez interested, I'll check k out their phone number the next time I go by. Just let me know duck. Or I'll just leave it as it us and not bother !

I have just changed the torsion bar pivot mechanisms in my p6 to swap seats, the entire mechanism is a nightmare very hard to get the final setting correct and one has to find a suitable tool with small pins to retork the torsion bar, i used a generic angle grinder wrench that has an adjustable setting, you will need to remove the seat to tighten it up to stop it for slipping, good luck Sheldon 👍.

I see you always buying Rovers, but never drive them yourself. Don’t you have a license? Just wondering
@lewiscarr5663Ай бұрын
Nope he doesn't.
@monkeyboy-b8vАй бұрын
@@lewiscarr5663 What no licence? the dear lad needs to learn to drive,then start as an apprentice in a good garage to learn about vehicles correctly,then if he is trusted become an MOT tester later when the years have passed come back and do a classic channel when more wise! pip pip old bean!!! just wondering.

Lucus likes a classic then wat is that old Peugeot of he's I think the rover suits him better i love the rover V8 engine sound better with a stainless exhaust and not a automatic gearbox running loads better after the expensive top end rebuild you did how come you're not driving it yourself ? You not passed yet or down to not afford to at the moment bet you glad its done

Although the Peugeot is pretty special!

Sounds like a healthy good ole V8. Is the transmission the GM Turbo Hydra Matic? I was relocated to RAF Greenham Common in 1989 from California. I studied and took the drivers test. A friend drove me to the port somewhere NE of London. I picked up my worn out 1982 VW Rabbit diesel that had been shipped by the USAF. I drove white knuckled for at least a month before I finally got accustomed to driving on the left side of the road. Luckily I survived four years of driving with the left hand drive VW always driving next to the curb. I also survived having to shift down to 3rd whenever I encountered a hill because the worn out gutless diesel wouldn't make it up otherwise. I paid $1200 for the car in California and drove it for 4 years in England then sold it for $600 so it is probably the most inexpensive car I ever owned. I really enjoyed this drive with you especially the drive through Cornwall. Lucas is a good friend.

Hi Jeff, early Rover P6B's (i.e. the V8 version) had the Borg-Warner 35 auto transmission, later ones had the B-W 65.

I thought Lucas (Winston) was using a walker then saw it was a small pair of steps 🤣 My son saw a P6 V8 N reg estate being driven in Ashford Kent today. He called it a gold colour. maybe a respray job. Went past too quick to get a photo. I wonder who owns it.

When are you going to learn to drive all the cars you work on and you can't drive them must be so frustrating.
