I Built a TARDIS in MINECRAFT 1.20!
In this video I challenged myself to build a TARDIS interior in the new 23w07a snapshot, and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Watch until the end to see my entire build process. Enjoy!

It makes sense too as the tardis is a living thing and not just a machine so this could be a more natural/primitive version of a tardis

i'd be interested to see what this'd look like with actually defined walls & celing, aka have it be a proper interior. Ik the tardis is a whole dimension technically but i cant help but feel it feels a bit wrong having it be so open

I did have some time constraints while making the video so I wasn't really able to put a full roof on it, but tbh I would probably make some sort of fake sky effect anyway - personally the blue sky looks much better than an actual roof

I think if you instead built the center tree diagonally it would have helped fight how weird it may look from the sides

This is just my personal opinion but I never really liked the idea of organic looking TARDIS interiors, it’s the reason why I don’t like 13’s interior but absolutely adore 14/15’s interior. I just don’t like it when the TARDIS doesn’t look all high tech and futuristic since that’s always how I imagined it; more "epic starship" and less "living organism" I suppose. But despite that you always manage to make these interiors look good regardless of the style.

fair enough. I have to agree that I don't think organic interiors work very well in the show, although I think they translate to Minecraft pretty nicely. glad you liked the build tho!

@@DT10 I think that’s mainly because Minecraft is by nature a survival game so futuristic looking stuff doesn’t really look right in that context, however in the actual show obviously it’s sci-fi so you expect everything to just be crazy and over-the-top. I don’t exactly HATE Jodie’s interior but if you were to compare it to David’s, Matt’s and Peter’s it just looks…out of place if that makes sense.
