I calculated pi in minecraft? (pi day 2024!)

Happy pi day everyone, I hope you're all enjoying, I made this little machine that calculates pi using the monte carlo method.
Thanks to lynncode for help on the initial animation.
This was a lot of fun to make so please enjoy.
also this is my first proper description lol,

Now when I tell you I opened up KZfaq expecting a video to be mid at best maybe a poor effort at getting me to laugh, maybe some racist jokes, maybe some funny videos, maybe some sweaty content and possibly even some memes I did not expect for a video of this caliber to be presented to my eyes. Before watching this video, my parents knew I was a disappointment that will never amount to anything. Now they only think I am a disappointment, none of this would not be possible without the newfound knowledge I have acquired from this absolute stunner of a video. Mere words will never amount to help describe and compliment this masterpiece. In a way I almost am angry at you because I will never be able to watch another video on this platform without immediately thinking of this masterpiece and realizing how terrible it is in comparison to this masterful creation. Thank you for creating this once again as mere words cannot express my gratitude to you for blessing my eyes. Never let anybody tell you this is bad or mediocre or even anything but a 100/10 for it is infinitely better than the infinite numbers I can use to describe this. You truly are a master in your art and I will continue to worship you and this masterful video.

Ah unfortunately I was having a problem with the floating point math, where the computer kept moving the decimal point (due to some weird division problems), so to skip that problem i just simply hide the final result until the reveal haha

Works bc the ratio of dots inside the circle and inside the square don't change it goes from 4r^2/pir^2 to r^2/pir^2/4 (dividing the first equation by 4 we get the second)

End of video challenge: Area of quarter circle (A_qcirc) = (πr^2)/4, Area of the smaller square is the radius squared or r^2. To prove (πr^2)/4:r^2 is the same ratio as πr^2:4r^2, we can multiply both sides of (πr^2)/4:r^2, and that will be equivalent since you could just cancel out the 4, we get πr^2:4r^2=πr^2:4r^2, since both corresponding sides of the ratios are equivalent, the ratios are too, and thus the ratio of points in the quarter circle to the smaller square is the same as the whole circle to the whole square.

Calculations stays the same, because we divided both, area of the circle and area of the square, by 4. In the original equation we have (area of circle / area of square), and if we divide both by 4, we'll get ( (area of circle / 4) / (area od square / 4) ). After simplifying complex fraction, it'll become ( (area of circle / 4) * (4 / area of square) ). 4s cancles out, and we have what we had started with, (area of circle / area of square) :))

the calculations stay the same because you basically made it so that both the numerator and the divisor's values get divided by the same number, which in turn gives the same result

@tanhR85 it's not a computer, I would say what defines a computer as different is the fact that it's programmable, this is just a machine made in minecraft with the express purpose of finding pi. No assembly, no CPU, no dataloop
