In this video, I'm exploring a small stream that was gifted to me at camp. It's now one of my favorite streams! I fished one dry fly all day and caught more brown trout than I could ever put on one video. It was an amazing day! Thanks for watching. See the other parts below...

Part 2: • This SMALL STREAM was ...

I don’t know how it gets much better than fishing a small creek like this. Nothing else matters when you’re in this environment. Whatever you have weighing on your mind is irrelevant. You’re completely oblivious to anything else happening around you because it’s the essence of being in the moment. Great footage. Bravo.

One of the nice things I like about where I live in Utah now. I haven’t found a river that doesn’t have fish in it. I have a couple mountain streams I like to hit that is a fish on every other cast. I have a couple home streams that get crowded but I still catch fish. I really love the streams in the boonies, where the fish are unpressured and eager to hit my flies.

I live in the driftless area and fish it a lot. I’ve always dreamed about heading out west to fish mountain streams just for the change of scenery. I’m afraid I might be disappointed though. Do you have any suggestions or comments on the difference?
@LooknFishy
@LooknFishy 3 жыл бұрын
Imo you won't be disappointed but really depends on your fishing personality. I love both but for completely different reasons. The west is more of an adventure or can be! Sometimes just getting to a remote stream can take hours or even an over night stay. The scale is crazy. The landscape crazy. You can easily find areas where you'll never see a house, car, road or hear civilization. Wilderness areas that can only be accessed my foot or hoof! The driftless to me is great fishing and I appreciate the ease if access but I never really feel isolated or like I'm off the grid. But after spending time out west, it's nice to just go fishing and it not be an adventure. Of course, there are easier streams to access out west if you prefer...I just head that way for the remoteness!

Unless it's catching release only, I just have to keep and eat a few.

I have nothing against keeping a few every now and then. Just not something I do as much any more unless it's redfish! But figure I'll be keeping some brookies this summer!

@@LooknFishy I never ate redfish, are they good? They look like you get some nice fillets off them.

I like your videos, but you need a tripod on occasion. There are so many people posting vids with GoPros strapped to their chest it's mind boggling. Also you should talk about technique and share more about what you're using and why. Kelly Galloup created his following by educating the masses.

Sub’d... nice vids brotha! I was fishing and camping this week. I have a ton of content to edit. Fishing 3 creeks in one day here in Southern California and caught trout on all three... that’s like a So Cal Grand Slam!!! 💯🌿
