After rewatching this season (this season is my fave! so take this as it is), I understand the modiste street scene but I can also see where you're coming from. I think the whole scene was a slap to his face. This is the first time someone truly said how they love him for JUST being him. He has been pretending, he had been insecure (his family thinks he's a chore when he's talking about his travels, everyone thinks he's immature for not sowing his wild oughts and for not being a rake "man") and now he's questioning himself as a writer because he can brag and proud about it to Pen but then Pen is THE lady whistledown. Everything is collapsing until he heard how Pen loved him for being him and to declare that she truly loves him. He will always be enough. I might be stretching but i just wanna say my take hehe :)) hope you guys feel the same and I hope you enjoy this season like I did! 💛

I love how almost everyone who watched the wedding felt like they were close relatives/friends of the bride crying for her happiness and how in the mirror scene, we all felt like we were intruding on someone else's personal space. God, I love this season.

This season felt the most real to me. Colin was insecure (especially where men didn't have to deal with their wives being successful & challenging those gender roles.) At the end of the day, she's Lady Whistledown & he's jealous of that. It's a big deal for him to deal with those feelings. To people-pleaser Colin Bridgerton, Penelope telling him she loves him for who he is, not for the "strong facade" men are expected to put on means a lot. After the whole Marina situation in season 1, he tried to act like his brothers. Much like Penelope being reckless as Lady Whistledown at first (she regrets some of the things she wrote) but, she's not allowed to express these emotions directly because she's a woman. She's learning how to be more bold in her real life. This season felt like both Colin & Penelope being more honest about who they are. Colin dropping the facade & being a nerdy lover-boy and Penelope asking for what she wants in real life.

I love this season. I know a lot of people didn't but i personally will never understand why. Polin all the way ❤️ Also i love all of your reactions 🙂

I adore Colin and Pen…but can we just TALK about how my boo Anthony is such a soft boy now that he’s found his HEA?! 🥹🥹🥹

So 7 is one of my favourites of season 3 and probably my favourite of part two. Love the wedding and dance and I love the angst too. The opening is played so well by Luke. And I love the scene outside the modiste. You have to remember Colin is questioning everything now he knows she’s been keeping this secret from him. He was scared in ep 5 she didn’t return his feelings and he’s unsurprisingly confused here. Plus he think s he has to be of use to her to have a purpose, so her saying she can take care of herself makes him feel useless. The fact she so strongly declares her love, he can see it that it’s the truth and I love how it stuns him, before all that passion comes out between them. Plus let’s not forget they’re both tipsy here, hence letting the passion spill out on the street.

i actually love this season way more than season 2 and i know it may be different for others but personally i enjoyed how more realistic Polin felt. maybe i just love friends to lovers more and enemies lol season 2 it took until the last ep for them to be together. love kate though 😭where as with colin and pen i feel like we see more of them navigating through the difficulties. i actually liked the argument in the alley and the nod during the aisle walk, i feel like it shows how even though he is still upset he still loves her and wants to marry her. this season just touched me more also because it touches on other subjects like the friendship, siblings, mother to daughter. i just love colin and pen 💛

When you think about how emotions are connected to physical intimacy for Colin it might not feel forced then! We see that before and after he finds out about LW his insecurity is that he is not worthy of Pen’s love. So he feels like if he does things for her and proves his worth then he can feel deserving of her love. Her “I love you” in response to his “what good am I to you” elicits such a reaction because she is saying that is his worth. You don’t have to do anything but be yourself for me to love you and he’s earned her love by being him long ago. So, hearing that his love is returned by his best friend who sees him and understands him unlike anyone else brings about that response. Because the emotional and the physical are connected for him! That’s why a lot of fans say Colin is demisexual coded.

Not to make you more emotional (though i do love how open you are, it's so wonderful and touching to see!) but Colin's reaction to seeing Penelope first walk down the aisle was Luke, the actor, genuine reaction as the director made sure he didn't see Nicola in her brides outfit before the take!

This is my favorite season by far.

Oh also, thank you for sharing your honest thoughts and feelings! This is a show that has given us joy and even tears! Let us celebrate it instead of hating it 😌

I personally love this season. I adore Pen and Colin, their love evolved from friendship which the others didn’t. The only thing that bothered me about this episode was that the Queen barged in to their wedding reception and sent everyone away. I thought that was so disrespectful.

AND Nicola and the director did not let Luke see her in her dress before walking down the aisle so the take you see is his first reaction! I loved everything about that wedding! 💛💛💛
