Yeah, that's what Jody meant with trying to please too many people at the same time. The suit looks more grounded, modern and technical, but then they slapped this ridiculous underwear on it, probably just for the call back and nostalgia's sake.

I think this suit is definitely divisive because I love this suit. I instantly see the inspiration from the New 52, Reeves Superman, and Kingdom Come Superman. Even more excited to see the movie!

I knew the Henry's suit would pop up in the conversation one way or the other wished my brother who is the fan of Henry Cavill would have brought the BvS suit in the discussion you'd have stated better. Personally I loved the MOS suit but I loved the BVS suit more cause that one had detail like no other, the colour was improved and the details were meticulously paned, look it up. Unfortunately David's suit isn't like the previous rendition and I feel bad for him because he's gonna feel the heat 😔

@@92kris He did but we only get to see it twice, the first was in BvS after he met Bruce Wayne at Lex Luthor's party Clark saw a piece of breaking news on TV about people who were being rescued from a building fire and then he tugged his necktie implying that he was letting the suit loose, the second one was in both Josstice League and ZSJL wherein nearing the end of the movie we saw Clark entering an alley and then he ripped his suit open revealing the supersuit.

At least both snyder and Singer had there vision straight and they stuck to their visions on who superman was, superman is always an enterpretation character, that why he is so tuff to make, batman i alot easier. I agree that this is not a great suit. Could the movie still be good, sure, but like Jody said, it's not going to be great. With the MCU already on life support, James Gunn needs Superman to be good to start off the DCU on the right track, because if it don't, it will be in the grave with the DCEU and the era of superhero movies is done. Bad Boys, Inside Out, Godzilla & Kong, Dune, A24 movies, Planet of the Apes, Illumination movies, Anime movies and others that I can go on, are making the fans happy and go to the theaters for.

44:09 He is having a hard time articulating what he likes about the suit. I like the suit they created for Man of Steel because he feels that it is from krypton alien suit and not just spandex and red underwear. Like nano technology. I like the “S” symbol better than Brand Routh’s and Routh suit was Burgundy it was not even red. I like that the suit’s mid section display the abs and is very tight to outline workout Henry did. Routh suit was muted as well , and on screen the cape did not look velvet.

There’s to many things going on with the suit , it needs to be classic or modern . It can’t be four different style’s in one . Something with good color and a simple clean look for David with some padding would have been fine.
