I climbed those two several times in 90's - 2000 during my school years and college. At that time, no crowded and much challenging. Now got better infrastructure but much crowded. Congratulations tough girls

So cool! Why is the blue fire only seen from 4-5am? At first I thought it was daylight that made it not visable but that wouldnt make sense because then it would be visable all night. Does the fire start and stop?

The blue flames are typically most visible between 4 to 5 am, thanks to optimal conditions like lower temperatures and reduced wind speed. However, they might also appear faintly earlier in the midnight hours if sulfuric gases are actively emitted. These mesmerizing flames are created when these gases combust upon contact with air, offering a stunning spectacle against the pre-dawn darkness. The blue flame don't start and stop like a typical fire. Instead, they are continuously fueled by the combustion of sulfuric gases emitted by the volcano. As long as these gases are actively being released and conditions are conducive to combustion, the blue flames will persist. However, factors such as changes in wind speed, temperature, and gas emissions can affect the intensity and visibility of the flames. 🔥
